Myself and my family (partner 3 children mum dad and brother)as just returned from rhodes on the 4 th sept we had a wonderful holiday shame about the stella hotel no evening entertainment or evening meals on offer we have a 15 month old boy there was no baby changing area by the pool area had to change a nappy on the dirty wet toilet floor yuk! During r second week somebody used the toddler pool for a toilet leaving a poo which was left for a couple of days even though it was reported some other children used the pool without realising that there was a poo and they had sickness and diarrhoea the cleaning staff were very friendly and very hard working my opinion is that the stella hotel would suit couples but not for family's we would def return to pefkos the food was good and the Greek people were lovely and the beach was fab we will just stay same where else.

Have just returned from a weeks stay at Stella, which is ideally located for good restaurants, car hire, taxis etc. the beach is a pleasant 10 minute walk away. Our apartment was good sized and we were lucky to have a good view of the sea and pool area, our room was cleaned every day (except Sunday). We had no complaints..... But our only disappointments were the misbehaved children around the pool(parents fault!!!!), and the lack of atmosphere in the reception/bar area, we would have liked a little more ambience in the evenings to chill, chat and drink!!! We would return, as it is a good clean and central resort.

It really depends on what you want from a holiday as to whether you love the Stella as a place to stay. For us it's perfect. If you want to spend all day everyday by the pool, you will have to get up early (7ish) and put your towels out. We only spent a couple of days out of our 2 weeks just at the pool so it was not a problem. We were out and about and would come back in the late afternoon when it was quieter. If you're going in the school holidays the pool area is packed! Outside of school holidays, it's great (we visited previously in early July 2009).The Stella has the best location and fantastic views from the 1 bed apartments. Some of the studios have a sea view, but not so good. The rooms are basic but very clean and well maintained. If you want a central base in the beautiful Pefkos, with great views, then this is fantastic. Hire a car and get about - Rhodes has so much to see! And for beaches, you can't beat any of the Pefkos beaches - an easy walk from the Stella. Restaurants and bars are all really close. Stella - thank you. We love it!

We stayed mid August, on arrival hotel staff very friendly directing us to the room which is enough support as previously written I don't think people need taking to there front doors on arrival! The sunbeds weren't an issue as long as you were up by 10ish but to be honest we went to the beach most days. It was worth the little stroll down the road in the morning to go to the quieter beaches (Plakia). Eating out was on par with prices in the UK maybe a tad cheaper especially recommend Kelari bar, excellent meals and a lovely little pool there if you want to go down in the day. Hotel was clean and the cleaner comes in every day apart from a Sunday but the whole place was clean and staff were friendly. The beds are on the harder side but it never affected our sleep and there wasn't a lot of noise from local bars. All in all a really good holiday and I would recommend Stella hotel

Room Tip: we had a lovely room, sea view, pool view and a double balcony (320)

The hotel reception is clean and functional. And that is the theme throughout. The room was spacious and provided all function needed for a holiday, but it has to be said they were utterly charmless and none of the internal white uPVC doors closed without a bit of force and noise.

The beds were .... firm. Bordering on solid.

The balconies were so small we could not use them for any sort of outdoor dining/drinking. If you want a usable balcony ask for a ground floor room as they were twice the size.

The hotel is located on the main road/strip so walking out in the evenings is easy. If you are a beach user this hotel is not for you.

The pool area is too small for the number of rooms it is supposed to be serving. Getting a place in the pool area after 10am is nigh on impossible. Fortunately there are a number of very good hotel and bars which offer excellent pool facilities close by.

Local charge for air con was a tad expensive at 100 euros for the use of both units in the room.

There is a bakery under the hotel but the one up the hill from the main gate was truly superb and well worth the steep(ish) climb.

Room Tip: Ask for ground floor room if there are more than two of you and you want to eat/drink on the 'ba...

Booked hotel well in advance for myself and my wife. On arrival we were told they had double booked the room so could not accept us. They arranged to put us up in a apartment nearby, but we discovered this was out of town. We booked this hotel to be close to the beach and friends who had a apartment close by. They agreed to pick us up the next day from the apartment they had given us out of town to drive us to our friends with our cases for our departure but failed to turn up. Long walk in 40+ degrees with cases, not a happy couple! Would not recommend to others. We understand that this happens often overbooking rooms, to fill other rooms in the town!!

This was our second time to Pefkos and we stayed at the Stella hotel for a week starting 3rd August 2013, based on the recommendations of a friend. We were told that the Stella accommodation was of a good standard and very clean. It turned out to be a very accurate description! We stayed in a studio room that accommodated 2 people very easily. The facilities are not 'posh' but they are functional and clean which is reflected in the price. Some elements of the accommodation were a little tired but we certainly had no complaints. The air conditioning is a MUST but you have to pay extra for that.
The pool facilities are great for the kids although got a little busy particularly when adults use the pool to float around on blow-up beds but given the 41 degree temperature you could almost understand why?? (ish)
There is a limited food / snack service at the Stella which is reasonably priced and the service is good.
We used the supermarket at the bottom of the hotel drive way to buy drink throughout the day which works out cheaper than using the hotel bar. The bakery across the road and up the hill is the best bakery in the resort.
The Stella is conveniently situated in the centre of Pefkos so this gives you the opportunity to use either beaches, Plakyia being our favourite.
The night life is good with plenty of places to eat and drink, although its not lively and may not appeal to young adults.
Prices within the resort have definitely increased since our last visit 4 years ago and I would say that drinks are comparable with UK prices although eating out is still slightly cheaper.
All in all it is still a great place to holiday and the Stella proves to be great value for money.
