Unforgettable stay for our honey moon thanks to the kindness of Jenny and Taffy. We had such a great time that it has been so difficult to leave. The staff is also very nice and the place full of peace & coolness. For sure, we will come back!

What a wonderful place. White sandy beach, beautiful rooms, gorgeous lounge and dining area right on the beach, excellent food, free sundowner and snorkelling boat trips. Lovely kind hosts, Jenn and Taffy. You couldn't ask for any more ( except to stay much longer). We will be back and thank you for your wonderful hospitality.

Thanks to Taffy & Jenny for a wonderful, relaxing & magical stay. Your hospitality is outstanding and the food excellent. Lovely rooms & the softest white sheets, with outstanding lake views. Friendly & helpful staff, always at hand, but never overly so. Super beach, excellent snorkelling & amazing sundowners. We will be back!!

Room Tip: #3 & #4 are two double lake-view rooms with an interleading door - ideal for two couples

This is impossible to be more positive than current reviews, but it should be worth a try, because Norman Carr Cottage is one of the best places I have been in terms of personnalisation of services, welcoming level, quality and taste in interior and exterior design, and ambiance.

The room are decorated with great taste.

The food is simply delicious, there is nothing to add.

Service is close to perfection.

We stayed two nights, were thinking about a third night, and Jenny offered us a 50% discount for the third night because our room was free.

Jenny and Taffy are great human beings with an incredible energy and full of anecdotes.

I really recommend to stay there, it is really worth it, you will never forget it. I hope that the ambiance and vision Jenny and Taffy have for their Cottage will stay the same.

My trip to Malawi to visit my daughter serving in the Peace Corps was highlighted by a few days of relaxation with Taffy and Jenn at Norman Carr. You will not be disappointed with your stay at this beautiful resort where all your needs are catered to.
The guest accomodations were a very high quality, neat, clean, and relaxing. Our rooms overlooked the lovely landscaped yard out to the beach and the lake.
The food was simply wonderful, and it was the staff's pleasure to accomodate our requests. You will love dining under the stars overlooking the lake after a relaxing day on the beach, boating, kayaking, or however you desire to spend your day relaxing.
A word of caution when you are booking through online services, IF YOU ARE NOT IN CONTACT DIRECTLY WITH JEN OR TAFFY- try again, you might be booking through a third party booking agency, This is not necessary or desired - trust me. Book directly with the owners, they have your best interests at heart and will put you in the accomodations that will suit you the best. They are very warm and accomodating. I would definitely book again!

I started my advetrure trip around lake Malawi on my kayak and left my vehicle at Norman Carr.

I arrived during the night and with sunrise was totally surprised with the setting. Could not have asked for a better start.

The accomodation immanculate, the attention to detail splendid, the food great and the company was the final touch to a splendid stay.

Thank you Taffy and Jen for your contribution to a live long memory and something which changed my life. I had a stunning time on the water.

Everything is burned into my memory!

Room Tip: Any room is stunning. Try do make time to snoose on the couch in the lounge 20 meters away from the...

Amazing lodge on Lake Malawi – our home away from home with Taffy and Jenny! Peace and solitude, home cooked food, plenty of Gin and Tonics or red wine, snorkel and sundowner trips and the odd game of scrabble in between! Not to mention the lovely outdoor showers, warm welcome and friendly staff! All in all a good place to kick-back on the lake!
