“Beachfront Heaven”

Home away from home for me being a solo traveller. Head straight for the softest whitest sand and usually perfect clear blue sea in the middle of the best swimming and surf conditions the coast has to offer. After the beach shower you can enjoy a drink in your own Bali Hut so make sure you book a beachfront room like I did. Yes I love Queensland and being so close to the airport is perfect for me. Has a cafe rather than a real restaurant but I love the breakfast and Debbie is always happy to make one of her delicious coffees.

Room Tip: Make sure you ask for a beachfront room and ask for a discount for a longer stay. The local village...

There is no complimentary tea or coffee any more. There is free WIFI, however.

Whilst the owners did try to fix this place to a better standard, it still needs much more work: air conditioner did not work and controls were confusing, could not get a hot shower no matter how hard we tried on all three days we stayed - only lukewarm as the tank is too small, no quilt covers, no shampoo although soap was provided, no face washers, remote control doesnt work, no Foxtel and blurry picture for the analog channels on the old style small tube TV.

Staff were very friendly, however.

The small details overlooked by the owners overshadowed all the good renovations they had done to this 1960's era motel, including recent tiling, recent paint job and easy beach access...

The staff are lovely, the complimentary coffee is tasty, the beautiful beach is a 2 minute walk, the bathrooms are clean and the beds are comfortable.

Bilinga Beach Motel is a small motel next to the Gold Coast airport which is the reason we selected it when looking for a place to stay. It is a small budget motel and the rooms are on the older side but are quite large. However where this motel really shines is in the service provided by the staff, they were friendly and always ready to help. We arrived before the check-in time with quite a lot of luggage and they were able to safely store it for us throughout the day while we went out to visit the Theme Parks. The motel is also right on the beach which is another plus, and buses aren't too hard to work out. If you're looking for a place close to the airport and beach, cheap and with great service definitely check this place out.

I've stayed at motels and hotels on the Gold Coast for years and only just found this motel last week. It will now become my 'regular' spot. I was so surprised that it was on the beach; just walk out the door and there you are. Because I can't do stairs I have been in one of the older rooms but it's sweet and such easy access. The staff are all wonderful and some of the friendliest I have ever encountered anywhere in the world. No one really ever says no and I am always met with a smile and generous spirit. Very warm and kind.
I haven't used the pool yet but it's easy access which is a bonus for people who can't use the ladders in most hotel pools. But the beach is right there...how wonderful.

Room Tip: Most rooms are upstairs, so if this is an issue for you just let the staff know and they will do the...

Was good for the price. Paid $125 for the room and slept four, so can't complain, Debbie on reception was fantastic to deal with. Forgot to give us blankets, but called the next and profusely apologised and offered us a free night, so it all worked out in the end, nice and close to the beach and airport, not close to anything else though.

Stayed here for one night in April. Flew from Melbourne with a 5 week old baby so needed somewhere close to the airport. Had a 2 bedroom suite. All great. Very helpful owner and staff who let us stay long after check out time the next day to entertain some friends who came down from Brisbane. No complaints whatsoever. The hotel is NOT on the flightpath although the airport is quite close. Reverse thrust on landings can be heard a bit, but there didn't seem to be any flights between about 11pm and 6am.
There is a nice but small swimming pool which our visitors kid used.
No restaurant and continental breakfast was delivered to our room.

Room Tip: There are two nice beach front rooms with exclusive use of the seats and shelters outside. Other ro...
