Found this typically spanish place in the square in Reus on a stifling hot day in August.It was 35 degrees outside so we of course dived into the air conditioned eating/bar area at the front of house.
All 5 of us took advantage of the set lunch menu at 14,80 euros each for 3 courses with wine and water included.
The set menu has a wide choice of all 3 courses so there was something for everyone.
I personally started with the caesar salad which was good sized and certainly fresh.
For main i had the roast beef , which was literally a large plate of sliced beef with a tartar sauce and apple sauce, sadly i would have sacrificed half of the beef for some fresh veg which my friends were happily munching with their roast duck.It was good however but not for those who like their beef "well done";
The desserts were all great , one of my friends had the spanish crepe which looked fantastic.
The house wine was ok,nothing special but thats house wine for you.
The front of house is typically spanish yet we later discovered other, hidden, away eating areas which were very modern in theme and looked great.
The service was up to scratch once they warmed to us a little.
One slight note is that there is a 2 euro charge for sitting ouside in the square to eat.I dont quite understand this as nearly everyone was taking full advantage of the air-con anyways, including all of the locals.
All in all a pleasurable option for a lunch between friends.
