“Truly international "not very greek"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2013

Arrived to nothing but quality Place and staff look the part and to a person are ! from bar to restaurant , room cleaning to ground and garden staff, impecciible.Food to a good though not exceptional standard, would recommend trips to Kos town, Petrinos to a very high standard, as are many others. Some staff stand out,to Asta Demitrius Nikos a big thank you,you all added life to a place that sadly though theme nights were held, was we are sad to say Souless..If you love wine as we do you will struggle to find something to justify the 18 to 20 plus euro price tag on bottles for say an evening dinner.Stayed 14 days, to long, seven we think is good for a touch of class but as. our title suggests, it is not greek .Beach a nice place, change from pool. Three island dolphin tours a must from kos harbour.Overall fine stay, your quality of service is high, turn your product to that level and you are indeed de-lux. ps between yourselves and the agents that sell your hotel .descriptions of rooms seem to vary greatly, ours was not as requested , We were assured when we rang the agent that we had a superior double with pool view , We ended up with what dissatisfied customers have now named a dungeon room with no view and half an hours sun in the late afternoon. Not all complain, they just don't come again ! how sad for your staff who strive to make us so welcome. Rita & Sam England.

Room Tip: check you get what you request !

Hotel facilities and rooms appear slightly in need of a facelift if they were to live up to the "de luxe" description! The staff are very friendly and helpful but the same can't be said of the management. Although we reserved and paid in advance for a "superior de luxe" room and although we emailed them to tell them that my wife is disabled and we would need to be close to the main hotel/restaurants etc, we were put in a small, inferior room as far from the hotel as they could put us. When I complained we were promised a better room 3 days later but the room they then offered us had a shower over the bath which my wife would never be able to get into or out of. So disappointed that we stayed for 4 days in stead of 10. I wouldn't recommend this to anybody. "De luxe" it ain't!

Dear Guest,
First of all thank you for your feedback. It is always important for us to hear what our guests think about the hotel, I can assure you that your comments will be dealt with accordingly and will be passed on for further discussion.
Regarding your reservation I would like to enlighten you about some small details. Before your arrival you send us an e-mail informing us that your wife has walking problems and that you prefer a room in ground floor, upon arrival you received a room in ground floor (which was in the same distance as all the rooms from the main building since all the rooms are allocated around the pool and the main facilities). Upon arrival you informed us that you weren’t satisfied from the room since you found it too small and even though fully booked we arranged for you to get another room as soon as possible permitted. The new room that we allocated you was more spacious and had a shower in order to be more easy for your wife to get in since she had walking problems you still didn’t like the new room and you decided to leave earlier. From the part of the management and the team we made anything possible to accommodate you in the best way. We are really disappointed that you didn’t enjoyed your overall stay but we really believe that we made anything possible to handle the situation smoothly.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me for any further inquiries.
Always at your disposal,

A cross between a Greek brothel and a Las Vegas gin palace. A full size, gold painted horse statue lamp base, (with the lamp on the head!) in the lobby area!! Booked a superior room and was allocated literally the smallest and cheapest room in the complex. Staff unhelpful when we complained. Wardrobe sized for a lightly packed five year old. No drawers in room. No hooks to hang nightclothes, dressing gown etc. Hotel supplied robes that had 'After Sex' embroidered on the back. Spa run by unqualified staff. Hotel full of British tatooed types. WHO wears a gown that states 'After Sex'? Terrible staff. Useless travel agent 'On the Beach' who does NOT give customers an email address or a telephone contact number!! I say no more. We spent £600+ to get home after five days of a booked ten day holiday.

Dear Guest,
First of all we do appreciate also the bad reviews even if there are written twice or maybe three times because even those are giving us valuable feedback in order to get better for our guests and improve our level of service and accommodation. Your review is mainly a critique of the place itself, the decoration and it’s “moto”. For the pictures on the internet you should already see that the hotel was decorated in white and gold, that there were walls of green grass tapestry and that generally is an easy-going hotel with modern designing and style.
Commenting on the decoration, the other guests (with rather discriminating frases) and the level of service that your travel agency provided you is rather a non subjective way to speak about a hotel generally. If your taste is not similar to a hotels style you simply don’t choose it for another stay maybe in the future. Some of the things that you commented rather negatively like that the spa is providing the towels with 10 euro deposit (for matter of insurance), that there are bathrobes that have on them the After Sex phrase, that there are info meetings in the lobby of the reception for the guests who want to have some additional information about thing to do around the island are facts that cannot change because there are either procedures that happening to every hotel (info meetings, deposit on towels)or the hotel’s way of thinking generally. The main moto of the hotel is to provide easy going vacations and relaxation to our guests with some sense of humor and fun.
Commenting on our hotel describing it as a greek brothel is certainly not a nice way to speak generally and also I can assure you that if you had been to one you should know that has nothing to compare to us.
Regarding your room reservation the only thing that I can say is that you got the room that you booked, all the travel agencies collaborating with our hotel have full descriptions of the rooms with what they provide, square meters and necessities. From our part we gave you your room requested on ground floor in order to be more convenient for you to go around and when you requested for something more spacious again we did our best and we gave you another typology of room more spacious, from our part this was the most that could have been done.
Please be sure that we will take all your comments seriously and that there will be discussed with the whole team and Management.
Thank you

Travelled with my cousin for a weeks stay on 17th September 2013.
Had a great time, it's a lovely hotel, Service was excellent.
We stayed in a Junior Suite which was great. The rooms are clean and were well maintained throughout our stay, clean towels daily.
The staff are very friendly and have a relaxed manner. I liked the location of the hotel too, it was perfect to chill by day and if you want to experience the evening buzz it's a five minute taxi ride to the Harbour in Kos Town.
Food was of a good standard and enjoyed it very much. Lots of fresh produce daily.
Bar had a great vibe, Asta, Giannis and Nikos offered great service and Leonardo was most helpful too. Reception were very accommodating. Had some treatments in the Spa which were just ok, the girl I had was chewing gum and her trainers had filthy laces. Maybe need to smarten up a bit!
All in all , had a great time ! Would definitely recommend to a friend and would love to holiday there again.

Our second trip to the Diamon Delux and just as good as the first. Staff do a tremendous job at this hotel and it is really nice that returning guests are remembered. Room was great and clean, food fantastic with plenty of choice ( no reason for anybody to complain ). Staff really helpful with ordering taxis etc. Would recommend this hotel for couples wanting a romantic holiday.

We read the many reviews of the Diamond Resort before we went ...... All true but no review can really do justice to the experience that awaits ......outstanding five star luxury and service .... In a no fuss laid back manner . The whole resort is beautiful elegant and well thought out ..... The team are amazing .... Everything has been thought out .... Even to the night that dinner service was busy ..... Not a problem .... A complimentary glass of pimms .... A short wait in the beautiful bar ... And a table reserved for when we were ready ..... Class! How best to describe the experience ..... Simple .... Book a trip .... Kos is a fantastic island ..... Wonderful people amazing food and ohhh the weather ...... And the Diamond will ensure you return again and again ! Our best holiday in years !
Tip: hire bikes .... I haven't cycled for 10 yrs ! But the hire team were great .... Cycle lanes everywhere .... A great way to see Kos...... Hire a car and get to see the sunset at Zia ( note the sunset on Damond beach is also spectacular .....) and the rest of the island !

Room Tip: All the rooms are beautiful !

Just came back from one weeks stay here. On first arrival we were very late, after 10 pm after having got lost in our rental car. We were greeted by a drink and food in our room, a nice touch. The room was clean and very nicely decorated, with a really comfortable bed. I suppose the only complaint I can think off was that the wifi did not work in the room. A PC was provided, but it was limited in what you could access (my girlfriend likes YouTube!).

When we got up the next morning we where greeted by a beautiful hotel, with large and well maintained pools, and no shortage of sun loungers.

We were in half board, and we got a very well provided breakfast buffet and a varied evening menu.

While the above would be enough to recommend the hotel, it was some of the staff that really made it a fantastic stay. The restaurant staff were friendly and effective. The pool bar was run, at night, by Dimitris and his team (Asta and Nikos). They provided excellent service, nothing was too much trouble, and were genuinely fun to spend time with, without being at all intrusive.

Kos is a short bus or taxi round were there is limited shopping and some nice restaurants (ask Dimitris for his recommendations)

The only negative about this hotel is the beach, which is small and not exactly clean. I would recommend a hire car so you can get to the much better beaches around the island.

If you are on the late flight back, arrange to extend the room when you get there, we left it too late.

All in all a fantastic break, and I will definitely consider returning.
