“good food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

Slightly off the beaten track of the hustle and bustle of kos town is this little sweet Caravan Restaurant, the man who run's it sat us down we felt very welcome. The restaurant was very busy and this man seemed to be the only waiter in the place, but he had everything under control. He gave us a plate of Tzatziki to start which was just yummy, then we ordered the Greek plate because we couldn't decided, this has a little bit of everything, from Mosaka to stuffed tomato's which were divine. The food came very quickly and after our meal we were offered watermelon and a complementary shot of something (very strong) to finish. We really enjoyed our experience here.

“Fantastic dining”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 8, 2013

Went here due to being highly scored on trip advisor, and it deserved to be. Although it's out of the way, the food was amazing. My girlfriend wasn't charged for her starter which there was nothing wrong with, but not to her tastes. We were given a free dessert and ouzo by the very friendly owner. Well worth a visit.

“Good food and old friends”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 7, 2013

Been visiting Hassan at the Caravan since 1997 and the food is just as good now as it was then. We have the same meal every time and no one cooks it better. Hassan is without doubt the star of the show and collects new friends every year. See the same faces from all nationalities as he speaks many languages. Visit the Caravan and become a friend. :D

“Nicest man in Kos”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 5, 2013

My husband, son and i visited Kos 2 weeks ago. We were recommended the caravan by the manager at our apt, when we asked for somewhere traditional.
The Caravan is slightly out of the main streets so you wouldnt just be passing, yet unlike the majority of restaurants Hassan, the owner, never once went out to tout people in....they just kept coming. Many are returning customers and many new, he treats everyone like an old friend, and there is a lovely atmosphere in his little outdoor restaurant.
we visited 3 times, on our first visit when we said we were vegetarians he said his wife would make us a special dish, which she did on our next visit.

The food was delicious, extremely reasonably priced, with complimentary bread and tzatziki, with your meal, and complimentary watermelon, and ouzo after.

What really made our stay in Kos memorable was Hassan,s hospitality...one of the nicest people you could ever meet.

“great food and hospitality”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2013

Had lunch and dinner at the Caravan (Spelt Caraban on the sign) can be tricky to find because its not on the main streets, but a little gem. The owner cannot be more friendly, genuine and helpful. Walk up Kinari from Dolphin roundabout after austrailia bar on right hand side then take next left up to end and its on the left. Enjoy!
