“A nice hotel in a beautiful place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 16, 2012

Pahalgam itself is so very beautiful that everything there will seem beautiful!!!! So was this hotel. Though the photo posted on the web-site may give you an illusion of a big hotel. its not so in actual. However, its still cozy and comfortable.
Its a little far-off from the main market but this did not trouble us much as for sightseeing, local taxi is arranged in minutes by hotel staff and for non-motorable roads, ponies are available right at teh hotel main gate. There are high mountains on both the front side as well as the back side do you get a nice view from all the rooms at 1st and 2nd floor. There is a nice park on the opposite side where you can have an evening stroll. There are couple of other nice parks around as well.
Their restaurant is clean and comfortable with good food. Restaurant is for Hotel guests only.
Staff is very friendly and prompt - with smiling faces.
Overall a good and comfortable Hotel.

If you are in Right Room than you can have Good View of Mountain from the Room. Avoid the Base Category Room. Take the Next Higher Category, Large enough rooms and with bath tub. Location is Away from the Main Market, but if you have your own vehicle than you would not feel out of the area. Staff is Friendly and serve you with a Smile.
Sad Portion is Meals. Breakfast and Dinner were very sad. Dont expect much of option in the Meals part. Just basic.

Room Tip: Try taking the Front View Rooms and that too a category higher than standard room.

This is my second review in Tripadvisor and could not stop me to write a few lines for this hotel which is simply out of earth in this heavenly place.I stayed for two days in this hotel in last year November '11 and was the best place ever stayed...The waiters are the ambassdors of god....with nice smile everytime...the rooms are clean & toilets very tidy...locationwise little away from town...but then that's its USP, as because Pahalgam town is not more than a small market...but this place is silent, unique in its enviorenment....I reccomend to visit this hotel whenever you go to Pahalgam..

food is okay..we got a corner room with 2 windows so the view was nice but as it was february everthing was covered in snow..when we went out for a stroll we came to know dat its exactly adjacent to a graveyard separated by a boundary wall & it was just bang in front of our window but in feb there is heavy snowfall so it was covered in snow...blankets & sheets were okay...the carpets were smelly..bedsheets not clean...rooms very small hardly any space left to walk..food was also okay...they cut off the electricity in night for 2-3 hours in that cold winter night..it was so dark you cant even see urself..they didnt provide us wid candles...if it was not frequent then they can be excused but if they experience power shortage on a regular basis then its not excusable..they shud have given us candles...also they give hot water only from 6 am to 11 am in cold winter..jugs & glasses were dirty..in the morning we had to shift to another room for hot water because they had only 1 or 2 boiler & 1 of them malfunctioned...service is extremely poor..not a value for your money...stay away from it in winter..u can consider it as your last option in summer..the photos on their website is quite misleading..the amount they take is not worth it...

Room Tip: if u have no other option...choose the other side of the hotel away from the graveyard...

The hotel is located at strategic location. Also, the maountain view from the room is good. Rooms are good (though not excellent) but food is terrible with very less options. Need to bargain hard for discounts on rooms. Do not get swayed by the photos on website. You would be dispppointed.

Room Tip: Rooms facing mountain are good
