“excellent restaurant and or tapas bar”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 31, 2013

The building is charming, with only gentle modernization. Theres a bar area in the front and two rooms of restaurant behind. The staff are fun and the service relaxed and helpful. We couldn't understand the menu which is only in Catalan ( English is my only language but I am so sick of the damage tourism does that I totally approve of this) but we asked the waiter( he had fluent english) to choose for us and with a few hints it worked perfectly. So good we went back for lunch the next day.

“Disappointing..”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 11, 2012

This place didn't live up to our expectations. The bravas were ok, and €4.50 is a fair price. But the 'mini croquetas' were awful... Little fried balls of blood sausage. The Boquerones and Jamon were fine, but nothing exceptional. The bread with tomato was WAY too salty, as were the bell peppers.
Also, the waiters were a bit pushy.
Though the interior is quite nice, I think there are better places in Terrassa to eat tapas.

“Great set menu!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 5, 2012

We were a little disappointed that we didn't get reservations at the Terrassa restaurant with the Michelin star. The hotel suggested we go to La Picoteca - a restaurant owned by the same chef. We quickly forgot our disappointment. We got the MenuPica which came with 5 tapas as the first course and one of the most tender/juicy/flavorful steaks I've had. The tapas were great too - different than the normal selection. Fried eggplant, a garbanzo bean stew with fish and sausage, grilled squid with sausage on a piece of coca bread, muscles, and green peppers. Awesome meal! The set menu was $30 per person and didn't include drinks. Came with fruit for dessert with an apple sorbet. Excellent wines by the glass.
