“Great modern-type hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 5, 2013

If you are in town for an event in the Barcelona Fira this is the place for you.
Rooms are a bit small but well designed to make the most of them.
Everything is well organized and handy (lights, safe, drawers, etc).
The room is a round structure, which means all rooms have a great view!
Rooms are very quiet and clean.
Breakfast is very rich in offering.
The bed/pillows are a small drawback and not so conferrable (wish for a larger selection of pillows).
Internet access is free, but terribly slow to unusable - I guess since the hotel was fully crowded for the mobile-world-congress.
The hotel is 3min walk from a train-station that takes you into Plaza-Espania (3 stops) and from there into the popular metro lines. Mind that this train stops at 12PM.
Hotel staff were very friendly and helpful with any question.

This hotel is a beautiful piece of Barcelona architecture across the street from the Fira convention center. The location is excellent and easy to get pretty much anywhere from the hotel by metro. The whole hotel is artsy, upbeat and has many above average features. Now for the bad parts...my stay was over $4000 (US) for 5 nights, in a basic single room. Granted this was due to the proximity to the Fira, during Moble World Congress, but still, crazy expensive. Also, anytime the wind blows, the beautiful architecture turns into a very negative experience as the red exterior covering of the hotel shakes and rattles VERY loudly and makes sleeping near impossible without earplugs. I cannot highly recommend this hotel, even though it has a lot going for it.

We chose this hotel because of its looks and location for a summer vacation, even though it's not really close to the sea coast. However, thanks to the great rail and metro network of Barcelona, going even to one of the remote beaches like Mataro or Sitges takes just over an hour in comfortable and frequently running trains.

On the inside the hotel is just as good as seen from outside - new, modern and extremely clean rooms with comfortable beds, very nice bathrooms and simple but beautiful design. Service was also great while practically seamless.

Public transport tip: Bus #46 stops just near the Europa/Fira train station and connects the hotel to the airport in 20/30 minutes for Terminal 2 and Terminal 1 respectively. Even during the whole night you have buses every 20 minutes - N16 to Terminal 2 and N17 to Terminal 1. In the other direction all these buses connect you to Barcelona city center - Placa Espanya. Of course, the train network makes even more connections, but buses are also very convenient, especially at night.

Room Tip: The higher - the better. But in any case, don't rely there won't be mosquitoes, so you'd...

This the type of hotel that makes you want to come back to Barcelona over and over again. The minute we checked in, we were explained how to get into town by train metro and bus.(also gave us a map and list of all attractions which was very usefull). Hotel is very modern with beautiful pure white rooms with open plan wet rooms and very good aircon. this is new business distict in Barcelona so alot of new empty offices which is a good thing as its very quiet at night and you can get a good night sleep. 3mins away is a massive 3 level shopping centre with hundreds of shops and lots of places eat. Back at the hotel a mixk of different breakfast are served everyday, The staff are very nice even the ones who dont speak eniglish perfectly. I think the only thing i would recommend is a larger selections of drinks:) but still good. The hotel is only 20 mins metro/train away from Plaz espanya and the rest of the city centres. although last train is at 23:30 but because the district is on the way to the airport you can find alot of taxis or buses that are traveling both ways. Because Barcelona is known for their pickpockets and we had a late flights in the evening the hotel kept our bags for the day after we checked out so that we can enjoy Barcelona. This city and the hotel hs already made our mind to comeback to Barcelona many more time and unless you want to spend a fortune on something in the city this hotel is worth twice the money its asks for 10/10

As a number of the other reviews point out this hotel is located not for the tourist visiting the wonderful and entertaining town of Barcelona but the traveller who may have work at the congress halls opposite for which this hotel is ideally placed. But with excellent and affordable public transport just a short walk away you can be in the thick of it in next to no time. If the train and metro doesn't appeal then € 10 - 15 will pay for the taxi from or to your bar or restaurant of choice. If 2 or 3 people are on the town together then it wouLd be just as affordable as the metro without the waiting!
Toyo Ito, a Japanese architect is responsible for the unusual exterior somewhat reminiscent of an overgrown pepper grinder but that's not what's important to the guest. Rooms are comfortable with 3 levels of decor and services depending on your budget. I got put up in the least expensive and it more than agreeable with all you require with the exception of a kettle which is only for the more tastefully decorated upper tiers finished in modern schemes of off whites, cappuccino and greys.
My room has a somewhat unusual white and red scheme which is functional and tidy but I would probable tire of if I had to endure for weeks as some business travellers may have to endure.
I found the breakfast to be satisfactory with a good selection of cold cuts, fruit and other tasty Spanish morsels as well as some bacon, sausage egg offerings and all the coffee, tea and juices that you may require for your busy day in what is still one of Europes more diverse towns.
Staff seem agreeable and polite, which one should expect.
Good to see plug sockets near the bed head boards ( Schuco/europlug only) a necessity of modern life with all our smartphones, iPads, laptops that we all seem to have these days so at least that alarm won't require you to stumble across the room to hit the snooze button!
No bath in my room, but a good shower, a safe large enough for stashing a good size laptop away and a fridge in room.
It's obviously fairly new and so still pretty tidy with the exception of the stairwell which still has builders dust throughout but I'm sure that in time that will be rectified.
A gym is available although I haven't had the chance to use it so can't comment but still to many people especially people travelling on business this can be an important factor in their selection of accommodation.

Located in the Congress (FIRA) area of Barcelona, this hotel is ideal for the congress center. The rooms are modern, free wifi throughout the Hotel, and Hotel restaurant is good although Barcelona is filled with cheaper and better. It's a distance away from the center of the city so I would only recommend this hotel for business rather than leisure travel.
Actually considering the room rate it's well worth staying and is comfortable and modern.

Good hotel for business purposes- congress centre is right opposite the hotel (1 minute walking).
Taxis to the centre can be expensive- it is very much on the outskirts of barcelona, and would not be ideal for sightseeing.

Room very nice, clean, spacious and light. Modern style.

Breakfast was disappointing quality, and the staff on checkout tried to charge me for 3 breakfasts (I had only stayed 2 nights, and only ate breakfast once). After much negotiation, the bill was amended, however not ideal when you are in a rush to attend meetings.
