My husband, I, and our two dogs spent a recent snowy weekend at the Firefly Bed and Breakfast. What a treat! We stayed in the cozy cabin offered at the back of the property, which was warm, comfortable, and the perfect size for us. We went cross country skiing near by - which was stunning- and enjoyed walking with our dogs on and around the property. The views do not get better than at Firefly B&B! Many interesting towns withing one hours driving distance with great breweries, shops, and antiques. We hope to come again soon! N & L

Room Tip: If you are bringing dogs, or want more privacy, the cabin is the best choice!

My boyfriend, myself and our two big dogs spent Thanksgiving weekend with Issy at the Firefly Bed and Breakfast. We stayed in the cabin out back, which was very cozy and perfect for us. Besides the amazing breakfast Issy makes every morning, it was especially nice to share a glass of wine with her, and have really great conversations! Issy also had some great recommendations for restaurants, activities and some awesome walking routes that we took with the dogs.

Would def come again.
Thanks, Issy!

We travelled all the way from England for a fortnight in October to hike some of Vermont's 'LongTrail' in the Autumn time. We were not disappointed! Issy was friendly and welcoming, and her toasty home was just what we needed after a wet day's walking. Issy went over and above the call of duty and drove us to where we needed to be to continue our hiking. Thank you!

This was our first stay at a BNB and things couldn't have been better. Beautiful location well withing driving distance of everything you could want to do. Everything was perfect. The cabin was quiet and cozy, breakfasts were amazing and more than filling, and the view is fantastic in every direction. Issy was great at giving us pointers on what to see, where to eat, and also great just to chat with. The walk from the cabin to the bathroom is short but I couldn't help but stop and look at the stars at night or the mountains in the daytime. My wife and I both agreed this was our best vacation ever and everyone has loved the photos we took. Vermont is better than I ever could have imagined, and staying at the Firefly was the best choice I think we could have made. We would stay here again in a heartbeat.

Found this little gem on Horse & Travel.com when we were planning a trip with our horses. Unfortunately the host no longer offered the overnight accommodations for the equines but kindly offered to contact her neighbor that had a horse facility. Unfortunately the neighbors were in the midst of a move but Issy courageously forged ahead and told us to bring the horses along for the mini vacation. What a pleasant surprise when we arrived to find a pasture all set up for our two steeds with plenty of grass to nibble. BTW, we were pulling a 3 horse monster of a trailer and inadvertantly (stupidly) followed the GPS route that directed us over Rochester Gap (hideous) and then to add to the fear factor over Lincoln Gap (a 28% uphill grade!). Following this white knuckle voyage we were warmly welcomed to our spacious room and invited to share a wine (probably to settle our nerves).
The breakfasts are outstanding and served in a relaxed atmosphere so one might enjoy an extra cup of coffee and conversation. You will definitely not need lunch after this feast.
Our great fortune was that the host (Issy) arranged for us to meet with an accomplished horsewoman to guide us along the miles of trails available from this property. We experienced the most wonderful views from high atop the mountains, rode through idyllic green pastures with mowed paths, waved to the residents in adorable New England farm homes and enjoyed a sunset ride through bear country. No bears (thank God) but we did see moose tracks.
An added bonus is the little town of Bristol a few miles away that hosts numerous eating establishments but the Bobcat Brewery was so exceptional we never ventured to alternate offerings.
A great vacation spot for hikers, bikers, nature lovers, or those who just want to sit on the deck or swing in the hammock serenaded by the angry red squirrels.

My gf and I stayed from 8/31 to 9/3/12. It was a much needed vacation and I'm still riding the high of having such a relaxing and enjoyable stay. The views breathtaking, the grounds peaceful and inviting. The welcome feeling into the main house (as we stayed in the cabin) was awesome-breakfast and conversation something to look forward to each day! I missed it as soon as I drive away...and can't wait to schedule our next getaway to the best place on earth! (or at least in Vermont) xoxo Carrie and Nicky

The Firefly B&B is wonderful! I have been returning every summer for over 10 years........
That says a lot. The gourmet breakfasts, excellently prepared and cooked using local
foods, the cozy clean rooms, beautiful flowers, pond, trees, lawns and pasture for the
horses are idyllic. The bullfrogs sing you sleep at night. It is indeed a great place spend
time. Proprietress, Issy Link truly has a gift for making her guests feel very well cared
and providing a home away from home.
