The Park Hotel is probably one of the better hotels in Tolyatti. It is situated nicely on the shores of the Volga River. However, it is quite far from the center of town, which is not convenient, because you need to have a car or you have to hire a taxi each time.
Rooms are OK. On my last vist I had one of the smaller rooms which is not recommended. Room is very small, and if you are staying several days, for business, not ideal. For example, there is no table to work on. There is free Wi-Fi in the entire hotel. Bathroom was clean, and had a shower. The view depends, if you are on the frontside, you can see the river, but on the back, you will see roofs, other buildings and forest. It is quiet at night because of the remote location.
Most of the staff struggle with English, nevertheless they are friendly.
Breakfast is served as buffet, and with enough choices, and comes with life music ! There is a restaurant down near the water, which offers a nice view of the river. However, most of the tables are on the half open terrace, so it can get chilly later in the evening. The staff provided us with blankets and a gas heater so even when it was only 15 °C, we had a nice evening. Make sure that your waiter understands what you are ordering. We had quite some confusion and ended up with dishes which we did not order, because the waiter did not speak English at all.
The smaller rooms have no proper desk or table to work on, and also no comfortable chair. Make sure...
