“Quiet and comfortable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 2, 2012

We had taken the Rhone route and stopped over on our way to Provence. The hotel was quite nice, clean and with complimentary wifi (who hasn't though). The hotel staff, as far as we saw was a friendly elderly lady.

Breakfast and bar was available, but no lunch or dinner. Nice and quiet terrace for breakfast or evening wine.

The hotel was located along a road, but there was no traffic noise. Just a 10 minute stroll away was the old town with its many restaurants.

Room Tip: You have to ask for the wifi password at the front desk. Free parking in closed area around the bac...

We recently stayed 2 nights in this hotel as part of a large group on a wine trip. The town and area are quite charming and there are great wines to be sampled just over the river in L'ermitage.

The hotel set up and rooms are fine BUT the air conditioning was virtually non-existant for our entire stay and it was HOT. Several folks in our group had the same issue. We let the hotel staff know and some rooms improved, others did not - ours did not so we just sweat out the stay. Additionally, the hotel staff was less than accomodating, and unpleasant, to our group during the stay when we attempted to gather as a group on the terrace.

I read the reviews for this hotel before we left for the trip and had high expectations that this would be a quaint gem in the countryside of the Rhone Valley. Unfortunately, I don't think any of us on the trip would recommend this hotel again.

Having traveled extensively in Europe, I completely get that their idea of air conditioning and ours is different, but this was unacceptable and the fact that so many in our group had the issue indicates that they have a "root issue" with their systems. If you plan to visit, make sure it is a cool time of the year.

We stayed for 2 nights in June and were very pleased with the hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, happy to help with information when asked. The room was a good size and extremely clean as was the bathroom. We had breakfast both mornings which had plenty of choice and is served in a lovely bright and clean dining area. The walk to the centre is about 10 minutes max. We would certainly stay again at this hotel if returning to the area.

Just come back from a wine trip down the Rhone valley, we stayed in tournon as a base for the northern wine region. The hotel is very well situated for access to both tournon and tain l' hermitage, it is in the street with the fire station in a housing area but, we were never disturbed by noise. There is free parking around the back of the hotel which is closed by a gate with a key pad opening, so it is very secure. There is also a keypad entrance to gain access to the hotel after 12 o'clock as the reception area is closed after this time.

The welcome at the reception was brilliant with the staff always wanting to help with directions or advice whenever we asked. The hotel room was spacious and clean with up to date decor. There was no fridge or safe in the room so it was difficult to keep drinks cool. The staff were very accommodating and were more than happy to give us wine glasses for us to drink bottles of wine in the garden which were not brought in the hotel bar. We did not eat breakfast here but, it might be worth paying extra to do so as there are not many places open of a morning and breakfast is a good idea before a day of wine tasting. There was a lovely doggy called whiskey which was also happy to sit with you in the garden and keep you company.

The price for 2 nights was about 148 Euros for 2 people, which isn't bad but, could be a little cheaper. However, there is not a lot of choice of hotels within this area, especially if you want to be within walking distance of wineries. Overall a good hotel and I would definitely stay here again on my next wine trip.

This is a modern hotel with spacious rooms and excellent cleanliness. It is on a busy road but has very good sound insulation. It is a little out of the town and, surprisingly for a hotel obviously aimed at the business market, there was no mini-bar in the room. The relationship between price and quality is excellent.

Very nice hotel. Price was great. Location was very convenient. The owners were super nice and care about us. I wrote them an email to ask for their help to reserve a table for a restaurant 7 days before my stay. The owner's wife booked the restaurant for me. Suggested me to walk to the restaurant as it was very difficult to find parking space. In fact, I found out that it was IMPOSSIBLE to find a parking space. Thanks for your suggestion. I took only 10 mins to walk there. I was so happy to choose to stay in this hotel. You are the best!

Clean and confortable the hotel is a very good alternative when staying in the area. Has closed parking and free wifi. The breakfast buffet is the only thing I did not like: to little and to poor. The hotel is not far from good restaurants.
