“Always consistent”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013

Yes a wonderful place. Especially good value is the menu del dia, operational at lunch times and for a little more cost available in the evenings.Nice interior and surroundings.
Starters always wonderful and plentiful.
Only a small gripe, not over keen on paying extra for butter to go with the rolls.

“Great find”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 9, 2013

Finding the place is your first challenge. We didn't book but were made most welcome by he proprietor. They were pretty busy as it was Friday night. Which made for a good atmosphere. The menu del dia is Tuesday to Friday and costs €15. Great value. And as others have suggested try the house wine. €12.00 for a more than respectable red. We eat the monkfish and the pork. Both vey good having started with warm goat's cheese salad and the pâté. The bill - €43. Great food, good value and well worth finding. Enjoy.

“Unusual location...but great!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2012

This restaurant is another gem within Alhaurin el Grande. Situated in the old part of taown and little unusual location but worth the search! You have a choice of a-la-carte menu or "menu del dia" with a great choice of starters and mains followed by ice-cream and coffee. The atmosphere is great and the tables are well positioned for either a quiet romantic dinner or a large family meal. Service is excelent too and great value for money.

“Excellent food at a realistic price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 30, 2012

This Restaurant situated in the old town of Alhaurin El Grande, tucked away off the main tourist trail is worth visiting. From the moment you walk into the lovely old building the fantastic atmosphere hits you. The food is wonderful, not the usual Andalucian venta food, but sophisticated with a menu that will not disappoint. Whether you are looking for a cosy candlelit dinner for two (as the Owner says, ´romantico´) or a room for a large family party. Each dish is freshly cooked and prepared as you wait, may be sampling a fino or a pleasant glass of wine. The wine list includes a good selection, featuring wines that you may not usually encounter in this part of Spain, the house wine is particularly good.

We have visited on several occasions and always been delighted with both the food and the service.
