I decided to eat at this restaurant since I read a lot about it and how good the food is, plus it was near my hotel in Macau. I was not disappointed. I decided on the octopus salad and the waitress recommended the grilled fish. Both were very good but I enjoyed the salad more. All I can say is I will be glad to have another plate of it right now. It is very likely that you will meet the owner, Mr. Santos there while dining. He is very friendly and would likely engage you in a conversation. He is a real gem, and adds to the atmosphere of the place. You feel at home and welcomed. You relax, order some good food and wine, then chat with the owner and staff, and leave with a big grin. What else do I want from a restaurant? I cannot wait to visit Macau again and dine at O Santos again.
Now to find the place; some cab drivers in Macau do not speak English so I made sure the concierge at my hotel wrote out the name of the restaurant and address in Chinese for me. The restaurant is in a narrow street or alley where they are other restaurants so the taxi will not drop you off in front of it. Most likely you will have to walk through the alley to get to it. Just look for the sign that bears the name or ask. Also, I do make a reservation first.
