“Truly a five star Hotel in every way”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 18, 2013

I loved staying at this hotel. The rooms, amenities, customer service, location, stores, restaurants, and entertainment are just awesome. I had a great stay here. As expected, the whole hotel looks luxurious and opulent. The customer service is five stars. My favorite room in my suite was the bathroom. I could not resist a bath in it. I loved shopping in the stores, the Gondola ride, and eating egg tarts at the Lord Stow café all in the hotel. Then I also ate at a Portuguese restaurant near the hotel. The food was great. The hotel provides shuttle buses to/fro the ferry and airport which are a bonus. They are convenient and make getting in and out of town very easy. I will recommend it to my friends and I intend to stay here again.

The Venetian Macao is a monstrosity in glass & concrete with the glitz and razmattaz inside quite loud and gaudy. To call it a hotel or a resort would be wrong for it is a mini-town by itself and a tourist attraction for any visitor to Macau. To be precise, this hotel is situated in the Cotai strip which is connected to downtown Macau by a sea-link bridge.

The hotel has three massive entrances which open out into long shiny, bright corridors with hordes of residents, tourists and visitors thronging them. Holding price of place is the enormous main hall of the casino, where people keep gambling from early in the morning.

Allmajor shopping brands have outlets inside this mini-town. One level modelled on Venice with its market square ,winding canals, bridges & gondola rides is certainly worth a visit. The artificial evening sky roof here can be termed 'out-of-the world'

The suite I stayed in was huge with a king-size bed and living quarters a few steps down with sofas, tables, televisions, the works. The bathroom with its tasteful fittings was spick and span. The loaded mini-bar gives a sense of comfort, even if one doesn't use it.. However if one expects peace and quiet and excellent room service, this is not the place to stay. Check-in and check-out also takes time, given the long queues.

The package includes a whole of freebies like complimentary breakfast at The Deco restaurant and lunch/dinner coupons at The Golden Peacock or Bambu restaurants. Breakfast includes Indian food as well given the large number of Inidan tourists. The Golden Peacock isan Indian restaurant serving decent Punjabi cuisine. You have the choice of a buffet or an ala carte though the coupons are valid only for the buffet. In addition there is a huge food court serving cusine from many parts of the world. Here too there is a small Indian joint.

The gym, I did not use at all. Given the miles and miles of walking inside the hotel itself served the purpose of my daily exercise.

We were blown away by this hotel. The sheer size of it alone was amazing. We were offered an upgrade as soon as we arrived to a suite, and as we were there for work, and had problems late night with the internet, they sent someone up straight away to fix it. Shopping was fantastic in the hotel with a variety of shops, and the Ice World awesome. Loved it.

Visited Red Dragon twice this trip and were equally impressed both times.

Tried to find it on Tripadvisor for a proper review, but could not and do not know the exact address info to submit a request to add it.

Great pricing, excellent favors, nice sized portions, great wait staff team effort, nice casual dining on the casino floor of Venetian hotel.

Will make flights in advance next time to save money there, so I can afford the extra money for Venetian hotel -- what an impressive hotel and casino floor! Had luck in the casino 2 nights, and enjoyed the restaurant and carious cocktail servers very much.

Great job, Venetian- your reputation is stellar and I see why.

What can I say. We got ourselves a 2 night hotel package which included accomodation, meals, gondola ride, shopping dollars, half day Macau discovery tour - it was the best value for money and the experience - AMAZING! It was our first time to Macau and we definitely enjoyed ourselves! My husband didn't want to leave the hotel because there was so much to do! We came here for our honeymoon and the hotel was so lovely to upgrade our room to have the best view, we had towel swans with rose petals and they gave us this massive chocolate heart with chocolates inside. The King Size bed is so comfortable and the bathroom is very spacious - in fact the whole hotel room was very spacious, you could fit a whole family in there! If you ever want to stay in Macau, definitely come to the Venetian as it will be an experience you will never forget. The staff were so courteous and our gondola ride was amazing. Thank you Venetian for an amazing trip and we will definitely be back again!

second time staying here, rooms are spacious, still an air of past luxury to it but very smokey. room service is ok. the mall within this resort and the mall connecting from four seasons hotel next door is good. its ever changing in Macau, many more other newer luxury resorts sprouting along this Strip.

enjoyed the pools this time, although bit small and scattered, lots of kids, crowded with deck chairs and minimal food & beverage options by the poolside at the time we were there.

location is right by the Strip (similar to the Las Vegas Strip layout), good if you are planning to do a resort crawl and shop at the malls located within these resorts. close to the cotai ferry and local airport.

if you are interested in local sites, they are mainly located on the Macau Island. you can take a taxi or resort shuttle bus over.

Have stayed here 3 times now and have found the room prices steadily rising to the point that I doubt we'll stay again given lack of offers available. We paid about £250 for 1 night room only - which for the experience is great - but how long do you really stay in your room and get vfm?

Don't get me wrong - we managed to get one of the few family suites which had great touches such as:
- mini towelling bath robes hung in the wardrobe
- plate of chocolate cookies and strawberries
- Wii
- double sized bright orange bunk beds
- bright orange bean bags
- FABULOUS touches in the bathroom including a family of 4 rubber ducks, baby toiletries, pink and green children's toothbrushes and toothpaste. The face clothes by the sinks and bath had been shaped into an elephant, bird and dog which amused our 4 year old as well
- potty and training toilet seat in the toilet cubicle

The family room design and features have clearly been thought through (apart from the standard pack of condoms you get in non family rooms which were included in the hospitality tray under the tv! Maybe management should consider placing these items somewhere less exposed to enquiring hands and minds!)

Again we had a room overlooking the mini golf course, and private villa gardens and pools - that may give you a sense of the scale of the place.

I still find the place hard to orientate myself around - especially as you understandably need to navigate the long trek from reception with a detour around and then above the gaming floor when travelling with minors - but guide maps help! Loads of eateries, from restaurants, a fast food court to a McSorleys bar on ground floor.

If you arrive early/ pre check in - you can drop luggage off as your room is probably not going to be ready given the amount of one night stays they are turning around - and the same facility is available after checking out - so the hotel does help you make the most of your stay.

Entrance to the 'suites' of rooms are loosely manned by yellow uniformed 'guards' by the lifts so that does reduce the number of people who are visiting the gaming floor, shopping piazzas and exhibitions, from wandering the accommodation floors/ corridors - but don't bank on it being foolproof and take the usual precautions re room security.

Easy to get to and from Cotaii Jet terminal with free coach transfer (coaches are every 10 mins) and same re leaving hotel. On leaving the hotel from the coach pick up entrance, a Gondolier quickly spotted we had 3 kids between 4 of us plus luggage and duly took charge of as many bags as he could carry to help us to the adjacent taxi rank which is run with Venetian efficiency. Staff are as helpful as they can be given the masses of tourists they deal with each day.

Absolutely stay for the experience, but expect to pay the £ price for it.

Room Tip: There are only a couple family rooms on each floor and really consider if you want to pay the extra...
