“Very crowded at this time of the year”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2013

There was an independence day parade going on and the main area around St.Paul were cordoned off with barriers. Like any tourist areas, the area around this monument is very crowded most of the times and around December the place is very exciting with lots going on with parades and displays.

“Nice place to chill”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 25, 2013

We get a half day tour from the ferry terminal, this place is 1 of the stop. According to tour guide this is the most famous history site and landmark that most of tourist must visit.
Below this catheral, there are shops and restaurants. Can get local souvenirs from there such as famous almond biscuits, bbq meat slice and etc.

“Disappointing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2013

There wasn't much there. A front facade to walk through and a few glass windows to look down into some diggings. No charge to enter but little to see in there

“Beautiful and historical”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 21, 2013

This is a Must-see attraction if you are visiting Macau!
It's a brisk walk up the steps, but there is a true feeling of seeing something amazing from hundreds of years ago. If you step through the Ruins to the back side, you'll see a section full of historical photographs of what the Ruins used to look like. Not much has changed, but some of the infrastructure has been supported by additional metal beams to keep it from collapsing.
Once you reach the top of the Ruins, to the right is the Macau History Museum which requires a nominal additional entry fee, but its newer and quite a sight if you are a history buff.

The walk leading up to the ruins of the cathedral is full of tourist gift shops and bakeries. Koi Kei Bakery is a must stop if you like to travel authentic and original Macau baked goods.

“Nostalgic Place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2013

As usual, we cannot give this place a miss. We have so much to do in so little time. Shopping was good with so many shops to choose from and food is easily available.
