What to say about Macau's landmark and most famous building? It is just like, must a visit for everybody visiting Macau. On certain hours there are different performances - check with MGTO office on Largo do Senado if you like to see more than architecture.
The chapel behind facade contains not much more as remains of saint vietnamese and japanese martyrs.

Nice for picture takings. Lot's of tourists congregate on this area, Go downstairs for more historical artifacts on display. Beware of pick pockets outside the ruins.

“Worth a look”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

The average rating I have given is meant to mean average by comparison to other similar historic sites in other places. If you are here, then definitely worth the time to wander around. It won't take long - but it is close by the museum and rooftop garden. About an hour for all three. Surprisingly close to the main hotels, and it is good to walk back to these instead of searching for a taxi. Straight down the stairs from the Cathedral and keep going straight. You can't miss the hotels anyway, because of their height!

Great place to take photos, quite busy. Be prepared for pushy and rude people on the walk up from the small shops.
