“Superb Macanese Food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 27, 2014

I had African Chicken (unique to Macao I believe) and its the best one I tasted. Hubby had the pasta vongole was equally delish. The little one goofed down the buns.... Highly enjoyable and miles better than Fernadxxx! across the beach.

“Great Brunch getting away from the city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 17, 2013

We were visiting friends in the area and they wanted us to try out the brunch at the Westin. We were not disappointed. This was a very tasty, wide ranging buffet. Quite a few local delicacies. Now this is out of the way if you are in Macau, but if you were taking a drive, you are removed from the Casino vibe when you come this far. Especially noticeable if you take a table outside. It's nice and quiet (something unusual in Macau). Plus if you want to walk off brunch, you are near the black sand beach.

“Very poor and horrible standard- like the old Carpet in the rooms”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2013

While there was not a lot of customers, we had to wait very long after we pass our orders.
The bread was not fresh, the butter with the fridge smell. We were 5 at the table and our plates arrived at different time. I ordered a basic Caesar salad which was swimming in the dressing, a bowl of French fries which arrived cold; sent it back to the kitchen and got back French fries with a kg of salt of it!! All the other dish ordered were also below standard. Very desapointing for a Westin Hotel!

“Great food and atmosphere”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

Having been to this gem for quite some time and decided to have a family gathering there.
The buffet was great with lots of choices and unlike the usual where everything are placed at a single space, their Indian curry and Grill section is out door so that you won’t feel everyone on top.
Good flavor and specially sitting outdoor at this weather makes it applauding.
The only drawback was the no smile manager there who doesn’t seem too courteous, as I walk back in with my 4yr from his back and he didn’t even hold the door for us when we were right at his back and no way he couldn’t notice us. Anyway, our mood was not disturbed by his lack of courtesies.

“A lovely dining option in Coloane”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 12, 2012

This restaurant offers international cuisine, which is welcome in an area with several Portuguese restaurants (not everybody's cup of tea). I have been here several times.

They have excellent Indian food, with vegetarian, lamb, fish and chicken options. Their briyani was delicious, much better than what you can get at, say, Cafe Deco in the Venetian. Their aloo paratha was also very good.

The Thai curry and African chicken were also well flavoured. However, their laksa was extremely bland, even with all the provided chilli sauce. Other international menu options were rather good.

The place looks comfortable and well suited for dining. I have experienced the restaurant air conditioning to be very cold in the past, but it seemed to have improved. The outdoor seating overlooks a grassy garden, which can be quite pleasant, depending on the weather.

The staff were reasonably friendly and helpful. The restaurant was located next to the lounge, and unfortunately, the 'live' music selection (often a pianist and a vocalist) was often off the mark, such as playing 'nighttime' songs at lunchtime. I don't particularly fancy the music even at night, though. I usually enjoy my time there much more when the performers are not there.

Overall, the quality of the food is pretty good. If you're in the Coloane area and would like an alternative to Portuguese cuisine, this is an option.
