I paid US-$80 for a weeknight. Room was exceptionally large and was equipped with minifridge, electric kettle, TV with remote, and FREE wired Internet (no wireless available).
My floor was exceptionally smoky, but my room didn't stink, and the in-room AC filter seems pretty powerful.
Tip: Book at the desk in the ferry building when you get off the ferry. The prices aren't inflated, they're cheaper than walk-in. It was $80 at the ferry building's hotel desk, but when I wanted to stay an extra night, the hotel charged US $100. When I asked about the difference, they openly offered that I might be able to get the $80 rate by going back to whatever agent originally booked me. For that matter, you can probably get a better deal on the Internet. When you walk-in, you pay the highest rates.
Also, do NOT book through Wotif.com. I tried to book a Hong Kong hotel through them but they canceled the reservation because they thought it was fraudulent for some reason. I didn't know about this until I tried to check in and found my res. had been canceled! Fortunately the hotel was kind enough to offer me the same rate. Further, Wotif.com refused to refund my money unless I filed a dispute with my credit card company, but if I did that then my credit card company would cancel my card and reissue a new one, and I'd be without a card while traveling.
