“Conveniently located, Value for money.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 8, 2014

The hotel itself is quite standard. We chose it for convenient location and been fairly priced for the quality you get.
It is located right in the center of Taipa. There is a bus stop nearby, plenty of buses going to different directions: Cotai Strip, Panda Pavilion, Macau Ferry and so on.
Within walking distance, there is an area of Rua da Cunha with its nice shops, souvenirs and restaurants.
Venetian Hotel is within about 15 minute walk.
We had Premier Deluxe Room. I would say it is rather standard, spacious enough with all the necessary amenities. If you need Wi-Fi you have to pay extra. There was a stain on one of the pillows which slightly spoiled overall impression, but other than that, the room was fine.
There is also complimentary shuttle bus kindly provided by the hotel for the guests going to/from the Macau Ferry Terminal and it runs every 30 minutes.

I was here in early January. The hotel is right next to the jockey club and has a pick-up and drop-off shuttle to the ferry station. The service is fairly decent, but the hotel is over-priced. They should at least include breakfast in the price.

Overall. it was a pleasant experience for me

Pros:
-Great location
-Relatively cheaper compared to other hotels in the vicinity (not to be confused with being value for money)
-Lots of restaurants, coffee shops, 7/11 etc. right outside the hotel.

Cons:
-EXTREMELY unhelpful and indifferent front-desk staff. We were lucky we were staying only for one night.
-Stinky carpets
-No internet in the room! Certainly a surprise for a hotel that charges as much as this does.

Room Tip: Ask for a higher floor, non-smoking room.

* The rooms and bathrooms were neat and nice. Bathroom has bathtub. Room is spacious. The glass separating the bathtub and bedroom with a screen is a neat romantic touch.
* There is a 500 HKD security deposit even if you have paid your room in full.
* English is a bit of a problem here. But you will keep bumping into every 2nd or 3rd person who knows English.
* There are lots of 7-Elevens, shops and restaurants around. McDonalds is in walking distance
* The Cotai Strip where Venetian, Galaxy are there are also in walking distance.
* Breakfast options was ok.

Room Tip: Higher floors facing jockey club

Stayed over over night at the hotel in Tapai. Location, service, accommodation. ..excellent. Food was very good. Venetian casino one of the major attraction in Tapai, is at walking distance from the hotel. Great souvenir shop inside the hotel itself. Overall nice experience. Tip: Opt for higher floors facing the race course.

We found this hotel to be satisfactory. The room is spacious enough and had comfortable beds.

The one receptionist however was the most unhelpful receptionists we have ever encountered worldwide and should most definitely be reprimanded. (huge unfortunate incident that happened and the receptionist absolutely refused to help. didn't even pretend to show she understood how bad the situation was)

The concierge spoke ZERO English.
