The University of Macau is a private institution that was founded in 1981. It is located in the north of Taipa Village and is presently the largest university in Macau. Interestingly, while offering a comprehensive curriculum, the university is noted for using English as its main medium of instruction.
In terms of tourism value however, there is little to the university or its buildings that will be of much interest to the majority of visitors to Macau. Further, unless you have friends or family attending the University of Macau, it is highly unlikely that you will spend time there.
In the end, we have nothing against the university but this is not really a place worth your time if you are new to Macau. There are many interesting and important historic attractions that are worth finding and exploring before you consider checking out the University of Macau campus.
