“Coloane-Take a rest from Chaotic Cotai and chill !”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 26, 2014

Coloane Village is a must see. The pace of life is much more relaxed than the garish Cotai Strip and there are many hidden gems such as the St. Francis Xavier Church which houses significant relics of the great missionary, now a Catholic Saint ! The plazas are charming nad low key; the Macanese restaurants authentic. Enjoy an afternoon at leisure there ! Finally, the hill walks and public parks are the hidden gem of Coloane. You can be stunned by the views from the pearl-coloured A Ma statue high atop the Coloane hills.

“Visit lord stow bakery, it's a must”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2014

This is worth taking the local bus number 25, have a walk around the village and enjoy it's charm. Ensure you stop at the bakery to buy egg tart from Lord Stow bakery, they also make a nice salad, and across the road you can relax with your snacks and watch the water and the fishing boats.

“Old charm of Macao alive and well”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2014

This is the Macao one should come for, laid-back, charming and full of histories (and good food!) Come here on weekdays if you could, it's oh so much better than the weekend which is madness everywhere. Marvel at the St Francis chapel, have a legendary egg tart at Lord Stow's bakery, wander around and feel the old charm of Macao on any given lazy afternoons.

“Lovely bit of old Macau”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 4, 2014

Coloane Village has retained its charm despite development on Taipa and the mainland. The beaches are still relaxing and it is lovely to get away from all the crowds at the casinos and downtown. Well worth the trip for Lord Stow's egg tarts and Fernando's alone!

“If you love nature, don't miss it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2014

If you want a rest from the noise and lights from the city and the casinos, take a bus to Coloane. The fishermen's village is adorable, has great places to eat, amazing view, Portuguese remains of architecture with Macanese new houses, beaches and BBQ :)
