“Wonderful food and service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 9, 2013

Very good food and VERY VERY good service. It was easy obtaining a last minute reservation and it was largely empty the night we went to I’m not sure if it’s lost some of its local lustre with the rapid growth of Macau, but it was a terrific experience.

The wine list is a tome; I mean massive. Many great selections in a variety of categories. Their fresh breads are to die for. Some of the best bread I’ve had outside Europe fresh-baked. The menu is broad enough for a variety of tastes but not so large that the chef would lose control of quality. Just right.

The dessert trolley was awesome. Many quality selections but their signature (sorry can’t remember the name) layered crisp pastry filled with cream was wonderful.
Through it all, the service was impeccable. Terrific by any international standards

Any negatives? – not really. Perhaps the odd architecture does make for a strange place to put such a wonderful restaurant but the hotel design was not their choice. Much of modern Macau tends to have a ‘Blade Runner meets Dr Seuss’ feel to it and the ultramodern latticework ceiling in the restaurant really doesn’t match the belle epoch splendour of the food and service. Well worth a try though!

“well thought out combination of taste”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2013

What can I say? Well, first its pricey, I springed for the full tasting menu but I would recommend it because I always feel it is a good representative of what the chef is capable of. This meal does not disappoint. I am not going to deeply analyze every dish as you should enjoy it yourself, but suffice to say that the starters and the main dishes were excellent while the deserts were actually the biggest disappointment, but then again, it could be just by that time I was so full of food and wine I can't really make a honest judgement.

“I almost don't want to write a review as I want to always get a booking!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2013

My 4th visit - and not my last. Exquisite in every way - even the extremely over the top decor. The food is so good it makes me want to weep. The lunch offer is just so good it is ridiculous! I

“Good but not as good as before”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 1, 2013

Preferred the old restaurant at the old Lisboa hotel. It was more of a restaurant, but food/menu is the same.
Must draw attention to the Kagoshima beef - it is the best I have ever tasted! However, the chocolate cake I had ordered (for a birthday celebration) was deeply disappointing!
Anyhow my friend ordered the seafood platter and was sick for 3 days; it happens anywhere, even at the most expensive of restaurants. Good to beware!
