“Grand Mall of Lisbo”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 26, 2013

The Grand Lisbo is a magnificent casino. Everything Right from the entrance, lobby, way to rooms, room itself everything is huge. There wasnt a thing I could say which was small.Even the bathroom was like a bedroom. You have everything you'd need (Casino included) within the resort. The rooms are luxurious and very well appointed. There is usually at least one good show that one can attend when one is in the resort.Free shuttle between hotel and ferry pier. Will definedly be back.

It's definitely a very luxury hotel rooms with huge LCD TV in the room, in the toilet as well as one at the bath tub area. The minibar is all free with plenty of soft drinks and beer which we hardly finish. There is two double bed in the room which could accommodate up to 4 person comfortably, so it'll be good for parents travel with small children. The room lighting system is very intelligent and to dim all the lights to suit your like is easy and you do not need to switch on and off one button to the other.
Only setback is that the lobby is over crowded with gamers and therefore the security to access to the hotel rooms is compromised.

We stayed there for one night and liked the big room, especially the nice bathroom. The air condition changed set itself to 21° all the time and that felt much too cold. If you expect a nice view make sure you let the staff know. Because our room's view was blocked with some walls from lower floor. Don't wait for the shuttle bus, because taxis are quite cheap.

Room Tip: If you want a nice view don't forget to let the hotel staff know during reservation.

We came specially for the dinner buffet, its famous among my family and friends for being the best and most-value for money buffet in town. Price is $280++ for adults, $230 for seniors and free for kids below 3. There are 2 seatings - 1 at 6pm and the other at 8pm. We reserved our table in advance and walked around the casino to pass time. Unfortunately there are no chairs in hotel lobby for guests to rest, the only place is inside the casino, which we can't bring our toddler in. Buffet spread is great, lots of fresh seafood including abalones! They had a fish tank to keep the prawns and their boiled prawns are very fresh! Dessert variety is fantastic, with fondue, crepes, cakes and puddings, plus candle floss for the kids!

My wife and I went to this hotel, because we had booked to go to dinner in the excellent "Robuchon du Dome" which is on the top floors of the hotel. I thought it sensible to stay there also as it is a reasonably new hotel. Big mistake! The price was crazily expensive (US$400/night), the hotel lobby is a zoo; we didn't get the non-smoking room we had asked for; the aircon in the room is not clean, the breakfast (supposedly a buffet, which didn't exist) was the worst - both in terms of service and quality - either of us (as frequent travellers) have ever experienced. The only positives were that the room was well-cleaned so the cigarette smoke was not too present; and the reception clerks tried their best to see if they could find us a non-smoking room (ultimately unsuccessfully). Robuchon - on the other hand - was wonderful!

Room Tip: don't bother - there are lots of hotels in Macau. Stay somewhere else!

Thank you Grand Lisbao for focusing on Food and Beverage...
"theKitchen" Restaurant is my Macau favorite destination.
Your bread and butter selection "outstanding",
Your Cappuccino Mushroom soup is too small...but well mesured...
Your steaks and salmon "out of this world"...
For the dessert the fruit salad is just amaizing...7 or 8 different fruits...Lovely ambition...
Overall the lunch set menu is brilliant...
Even the Bellini has got this "je ne sais quoi"...very plaisant...
The wine list is funny but not practical yet, unless employ someone to explain how to use it... rather confusing...
The Maitre'd is like the wine list...He should teach the staff how to slow down a service...if food order is taking first and beverage order after...then someone has to assume...
We have ended up having our soup served before our drinks and had to ask for bread&butter.
This restaurant like the Hotel is a bread&honey place and when such failure occures the minimum we expect from the managment is to face the problem and act accordingly...Deal with it immediately...
Overall this hotel is gorgeous and for tourist like us, we did not feel like beeing in a Casino...

We stayed there for a night for weekend. Location is great, you can access to the downtown easily. We requested a non-smoking room when we checked in, but we were told that it did not have the non-smoking room as it is a casino hotel. And we were occupied to a smoking-room finally, but the staff told us that they did something like air-purifer to forgo the smell. The swimming pool is nice, but have to register at the check-in counter of using that facilities (max: 4 persons per room) and need to show the identity card or passport to verify.
A speical equipment can be found at the bathroom, a steamer, you can steam at your own room which we find it is a added-value. Free drinks can be enjoyed in the room which just need to remain the cans or bottles in the room.
Overall, the room is quiet and clean, I can have a good sleep over there, and the staff are helpful!
