Have just returned home after our second visit to this fabulous hotel, the staff are really friendly the food is brilliant and our holiday was fantastic. Rooms are spacious and clean as is the whole of the hotel. We shall certainly be returning next year.

My husband and I have just returned from holiday after staying at this hotel and we had a wonderful time. The hotel is brilliant and the staff are so helpful and pleasant. It was one of the best holidays we have had. The gardens, our room and pools are fantastic and my husband had one of the best back massages he has ever had at the spa complex. Our room was on the ground floor, and had a patio and a garden!

The buffet dinner was hit and miss but, on the whole, the food was good. It is difficult to cater for all tastes and nationalities but we thought most of the food on offer was OK, not brilliant. There was loads of choice and the restaurant was less like a zoo than in most other hotels that offer the buffet facility. The evening entertainment was pretty rubbish but this did not bother us as we don't usually go to the shows anyway. We saw Il Trio (?) a tribute to Il Divo but Il Divo it wasn't!

Puerto Mogan is a very pretty place and we had a very good meal at a fish restaurant in the town. It is so different from the rest of Gran Canaria.

We will definitely return to this hotel.

Room Tip: Try a room with a pool view, higher up

stayed for 2 weeks from 23 september - 8 october. on half board. This was the best holiday we have had. If you want relaxation this is the place for you. Descriptions in brochures are very adequate. Hotel offers everything. Beautiful grounds with excuisite plants covering very large areas, 2 lovely swimming pools and i childrens.. lots of sunbeds-no need to reserve and thick mattresses supplied also towels free , can change daily. Pool staff are so helpful. 1 umbrella for 2 chairs and a stool.bar and food at poolside is very good. lovely toasties. Bedrooms are large and kept immaculate with nice balconies and flat screen tv in rooms.we had room on block 2 and 4th floor facing pool 1, absolutley gorgeous and had sun until 7.3o from early afternoon.WE had 2nd sitting in dining room at 8.30. WE found it very relaxing and no rush. Once you get the unusual lay out of the dining room it is easy to navigate. Can sit outside amongst the plants and waterfalls, amazing. no smoking which is great. Food was more than enough. there was enormous variety. piping hot plates and all vegetables hot and nicely displayed. could not fault it. Spoilt for choice. Big thank you to Carmello in dining room. He is genuinly concerned that everybody is happy and does not leave with a complaint. He is always smiling. Hand sanitiser outside dining room is getting painted as it blends in with walls and customers are missing it. Reception staff are also very helpful and polite.all areas outside are immaculate. The resort is as advertised... quiet after 11pm when all music outside stops, but can drink until later. Hotel has professional shows 2/3 times per week and of course the animation team perform. We enjoyed most of the shows. You do not have to attend as there are other areas where you can sit with bars inside and outside. The resort of Puerto Mogan is idyllic. Friday is market day. do not miss lovely atmosphere and lots of bargains. Beautiful harbour area with lots of bars and shops and the most amazing flowers in the side streets overhanging houses etc.absolutely beautiful. Boat trips from harbour to surrounding areas, and great bus service also from near harbour and terminus. Helpful drivers to give you directions. If you want a noisy, busy resort in evenings this is not the place for you, but we loved it. We wanted an upmarket resort without loud music and found it and will definitely return. Thank you Cordial Mogan Playa.

Room Tip: block 2 or 3 overlooks pool 1. there are only 5 floors so floor 3/4 /5 are good. near recepption a...

Excellent hotel, first class facilities. Magnificent gardens. Two heated freeform pools with plenty of sunloungers available around.
Good evening entertainment at lowkey bar or at hotel's intimate "nitespot".

Gorgeous landscaping but a few issues. Very closely packed sun loungers that are pre booked by the towels before breakfast routine. Quite a few cats. The meal system copes as well as can be expected given the number of guests here. Fairly good value for money but would be better if tennis etc was not all at an extra cost. Weather fab.

Came here with my wife for a 25th anniversary do and booked a junior suite. Positives - pool lovely, room lovely and clean, scenery beautiful, service courteous, location great. All over a good five out of five on all these important things... except.... we went half board and the buffet dinner was appalling. The food itself was OK but the queuing and table process and dining experience was neanderthal. Appalling. So bad that even though we paid half board we only ate in two evenings and ate down town - which by the way is Northern European prices for f0od on booze.

So ying and yang. Come and enjoy but dont do the half or full board options unless you have a family of hungy kids to support.
