“Relaxing stay”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2012

On arrival very impressed with staff on reception, very clear and concise. bags taken to the rooms while we ate. room was very clean nad well laid out, bathroom as spotless. location of room was spot on, looking over the main pool. Staff were very welcoming and attentive, special mention has to go to Sortis and Detjon, they are a credit to the iberostar brand.
Very peaceful location and pools were maintained hourly.
Food very varied and again the main chef on the grill section very friendly and clearly worked very hard.
Negatives-the entertainment was very dated and seemed to appeal more to the entertainment staff than guests, sunbeds were reserved, which is rather annoying when I was up early enough to actually find a sunbed I wanted and the best ones were already reserved, check out is at 12pm and you are only allowed 15 minutes in the shared shower room to get ready, asked for a little longer told NO. Little misleading on the use of the Spa, 5 euros to use the cold hot tub, really not acceptable, treatments very expensive and staff very rude.
I would return to this hotel but some little changes would make the rating 5 star but as I see it only 4 star at present.

Room Tip: Pool rooms look amazing, asked for one of these told none available but they became empty the day af...

The town is about 10 minutes by bus from the Iberostar Odysseus and has buses every hour. From Kos you can visit many beautiful islands and Turkey. Kos has very interesting places to visit and some wonderful beaches and spas at sea. Some say that the Iberostar Odysseus hotel has no beach I shell say that the Hotel has a small sandy beach, but we don’t need a large sand beach when you can have some great and wonderful pools five meters from the sea. You can enjoy a wonderful sea just as the Greek islands can offer, clear and warm. The hotel gives you an excellent service and care for customers. A wide variety of dishes, you can even find a food counter of diet. The staff was very friendly and available on call. The rooms very clean and of excellent quality. I can sum it up in a nutshell: I enjoyed a peaceful and relaxing vacation

Well we're just waiting to be picked up to go home. This hotel is absolutely stunning. When we first arrived we were truly gob smacked by how beautiful it is, the architecture is fabulous, the pools are an art form and the whole resort is huge!
There is a lovely pool bar where, at night, you can gaze in awe at Turkey and listen to the sea crashing against the small hotel beach.
There is a lovely indoor bar called Sirens, with a little terrace outside looking onto the first main pool, this is where you can sit and watch the entertainers in the evening and it is open till around 2am.
The restaurant in my opinion is quite average for a 5 star resort, the same things are served most lunch times, breakfasts and evenings so it's well worth taking a trip into town for dinner some nights.
The only real down point we have for this hotel is the staff. Not all of them, but a large majority let the hotel down with their negative attitude towards simple requests and guests in general. On some occasions we have actually been shocked at how rude they were.
So, all in all I would recommend this hotel if you're seeking a relaxing and laid back holiday. However, if you are expecting top class service from the staff in the hotel then this hotel may not be what you're looking for.

Room Tip: Rooms with a garden view actually look over most of the resort, you can also see the sea and Turkey...

Just returned from the most fantastic holiday food choice was 1st class all staff were great especally Vicky Yolanda Irena in the bar never before been mat at reception and given a face cloth to revive. Also every afternoon you were given a face cloth by the Spa staff around the pool area.Rooms very modern clean pool areas clean reception staff absolutely spot on and most helpful, chefs and restaurant staff great. Our room had a fantastic sea view looking over to Bodrim. Recommand this hotel to any one but would not take children there not a lot to entertain them, will go back there anytime.R&A wales

well where do i start??? Firstly i would like 2 say if anyone has anything to moan about with this hotel, then there really s no pleasing you. The staff are fantastic, from the bar staff to the resturant and animation team, everybody makes you welcome and friendly is an understatement. I picked this hotel beacause i wanted something extra special as it was my honeymoon, and in my eyes this hotel should be 6*, i loved everything about it, defo recommend.

Room Tip: All rooms are good.

My family stayed at the Iberostar Odysseus in august for 3 nights, we had a great time, enjoyed the pools, food and frappe. our room was fantastic, on the ground floor right in front of the pool which was perfect with 2 small kids. i would especially like to thank the manager at the reception desk for going out of her way to resolve a problem for us! good customer service.
