I wandered into the Flush bungalows a few days before staying there as it was coming up to christmas and the hotel I was in was tripling the prices.
Eddie made me feel very welcome instantly and showed me one of the two bungalows with outside bathroom, I loved it but then he said why dont I take the upstairs room above reception as it has a sea view, I couldn't see the room as people in it, but the view was too good to turn down.
I wasnt too disappointed, the room was huge with 2 single beds, a large space to move about in, the bathroom however wasnt as nice as the bunglow and needs updating.
It has sarongs for curtains and mismatched furniture and lights weren't bright but charming all the same, the outside area was amazing, a sunlounger, hammock, table, clothes rack, and the amazing view, it happened to rain the day I was here so just people watched from my sunlounger.
I had to move after 2 nights as this room was booked and I was the first person to stay in the smaller bungalows around the back, no view but they are adequate. I got to say where hooks went and requested lamps etc and even helped put up the blinds, a leak in the roof got fixed on xmas eve and now shouldnt leak, suggestions are - move the toilet roll holder so it doesn't get wet through - the toilet seat gets soaked too in brown water off the roof. There is not a lot of room - fine for one person but can imagine tripping over your sacks if there are 2 of you.
Now the best thing about this place is the team that work there, Harry especially, he makes an awesome breakfast (even tasted great when I threw it up on the boat back) and I spent many fun hours talking, playing bongos and singing til I lost my voice, the guys are fab company. If you are gonna stay here please print off the words to Patience by Guns n Roses - we struggled and repeated a lot.
This place is kept exceptionally clean, polite, helpful fun staff, a friendly place to stay as only a few rooms, 20m from the nicest bit of the main beach, snorkelling, bicycles and all that.
My second time to Gili T, and if I did go back I would stay here
Two drawbacks - as a solo girl its a long walk (15 mins) back from rudys and irish bar where you end up on a party night, bear that in mind if you get wasted and you are blessed with the mosque sounds from 4:30am - several times a day - it is too loud even with earplugs (just stay out til you hear the noise)
Thanks for making my trip so fun Harry & co
