Stayed in one of the hideaway bungalows. Arrived before check in time, promptly seated served a cold welcome drink-nice touch. Place is about a 5-10 minute walk from dock area so really appreciated. Thankful a room was just being cleaned so I was shown to it less than 10 mins after.

Gorgeous bungalow, straw teepee-shape roof with semi outdoors bathroom (shower is beneath stars but all enclosed and private.) Big double bed with decorative hanging net and cushions, long window seat, nice porch with outdoor seats and table for smoking. One of 4 bungalows in private paved garden with small pool, sun chairs and vegetation. Even though bungalows are close together the shrubbery made it seem otherwise.

2 towels provided and okay to be brought to the beach.

Storage is mainly in bathroom as space is limited in bungalow but I had no problem with it. Bathroom is huge with big towel rack, wardrobe, hanging area, sink counter, etc.

3 steps up to porch and down to bathroom

No a/c only fan but I thought it wasnt uncomfortably hot at all during my stay.

Shower is a bit cobwebby as outside and made of bamboo but i loved the 'beneath the stars' aspect of it. Also no hot water-standard for Gili T island.

Creaky floorboards as all wooden but to be expected.

Beach 5minute walk away. Located down darkened path so returning at night was slightly nerve wracking (as lone female traveller) but later discovered a torch in the room also I didnt explore other routes home so a well lit one could exist.

Breakfast was included and delicious: I had banana cinnamon pancake with honey which was served with a fruit platter and tea or coffee-the coffee was freshly made, in a huge jug and I think Balinese, which is a nice touch, and the fruit platter was huge! Pineapple, papaya and watermelon. Other options were eggs, omelette, and maybe cereal? Im not sure.

Check out was 12 and very simple.

Also rented a bike from this place: so easy-not sure how it compared price wise to other places as I didnt shop around but I liked giving them my custom.

Every staff member was super friendly and most introduced themselves to me and seemed keen to help me in anyway.

I really enjoyed my stay there-if only for one night!- and would definitely return.
Perfect for couples looking for reclusive getwaway on beachy island with a great social scene if desired.

Overall, we had a positive experience. The accents are on the very tasty breakfast (banana pancakes FTW!) and authentic architecture.

The location is good because it's close to the beach, although it's also somehow close to the mosque, which means that you will be woken up by the imam singing out of tune at 4 a.m. Also, the mosquito nets are a bit too thick so you get very warm at night.
There is no warm water, which to us was not that big of a deal as the weather is warm all the time anyway. The water does not come up from a normal douche, but from a bamboo straw. This was a bit shocking initially, but then we understood that this is not uncommon, as they have that in other bungalows on the island. Also, it contributes to the authentic feeling of the place.

What a great place! Set just off the main road it is a perfect place to stay in gili t. I stayed here with my boyfriend in the umbrella bungalow and we loved it. The outside bathroom is great. The staff were so friendly, and helpful. The pool is excellent!!! Also best breakfast we ate while in Indonesia. The omelette is excellent so are the banana pancakes. Only downside was having to leave. Thank you for an excellent stay.

We stayed here two days to celebrate our honeymoon with our children and close friends. Gili Hideaway is a nice place with a wonderful garden and cottages. It looks like staying in a jungle. The staff is excellent . Breakfast with coffee, pancakes or fried eggs are enjoyable.
We went there from Bali with a fast boat which was quit an experience. The trip took about 3 hours on a very " bumping" and rough sea. Gili Trawangan is a very nice island without motorized trafic. I advice to make an islandtour by bike. One little remark, Gili Hideaway is near the mosque so the "wakeup call" is rather early.

I stayed here with a gf and our nieces for one night. It was lovely staff were excellent. We enjoyed a late night swim in the pool. We booked through booking.com which were great. Coffee was amazing as were the pancakes. Bikes are available cheaper than anywhere else. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

We spent a week at Gili Hideaway, we rented all four Hideaway bungalows between 6 people and had an absolute blast. Sam and Juls were excellent hosts, really nice, helpful and also respectful of our space at the same time; what a combo. Everyone loved the breakfasts, which between the pancakes and the omelette were definitely the best breakfasts we had on our travels. The rooms were spacious and comfortable with the fans providing plenty of cool for our April stay. The gardens are so pretty and the lounging, dinning and pool areas were perfect for our group just to relax together (much need in such a bustling little town). I would recommend this location to anyone and certainly to a group like ours that wanted some space whilst still being able to take in the sights and sounds of the area at a moments notice. ps. Did I say the staff were just great? The staff were just great. Deserving our gratuities and much more. :-)

Room Tip: The bungalow opposite the treehouse library is quietest and the one next to the lounging area has th...

Really enjoyed our week here. The little cottages are very cozy set in a beautiful garden. The pool was lovely. Good location close to beach and snorkelling. Appreciated the eco friendly touch with fan only and an outdoor cold shower. The shower wasn't really cold but so refreshing after a hot day on the beach. Breakfast was delicious and included in the price. Staff was very friendly. Only negative would be the poor lighting in the bathroom. Internet was off and on but still okay.

Room Tip: The too all have a good location
