“The best resort on the island”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2013

This resort is the best for us, staff is very kind and food in the restaurant very good. The owner also is very nice and we just think this place is the best. Next time we come to Gili Trawangan we stay here.

“Is this meant to be fine dining?!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

What a massive disappointment. We thought we'd have a night of top notch food, following the review in the Lonely Planet and others. The place was empty (hmmm: did others on the island have the right idea?) and we quickly discovered why. The fillet steak and the tuna steak which both sounded amazing on the menu were under-whelming. When we asked the waiter about recommendations on how the tuna steak for example should be cooked to best enjoy the flavour he had no idea. Why not ask the chef we asked? He said he'd ask and instead 30mins later the steaks arrived cooked. What happened to asking the chef?? Also trying to get any recommendations on wine was like getting blood out of a stone. Kokomo: if you advertise yourself as fine dining then get your staff up-skilled regards taking orders and recommending food and drink. Zero atmosphere with so-so food. Not recommended. Instead save your money (the bill was huge!) and go to one of the cheaper places on the island for amazing food at a fraction of the price.

“2nd stay- home away from home”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013 via mobile

Quite literally relaxed the moment I stepped off the boat. Had to have an afternoon kip.

New menu and chef - Even better than the last time.
The Snapper Pie-
Seafood Platter-
Salivating just thinking about it.

The tapas in the afternoon on one of the beach lounges staring across to Lombok as the sun goes down with one of the best margaritas I've ever had...

“We had very expectations.....but were very disappointed”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013

My new husband & I booked into KoKoMo for 6 days on our honeymoon in Jan this year. Our expectations were very high based on tripadvisor & lonely planet reviews. It was also quite expensive so we were expecting standard & service to be very high. We were looking on these 6 days as our treat / splurge of our honeymoon. But unfortunately we were very disappointed & underwhelmed by KoKoMo. Everything was just so so or below par, which was just not acceptable as we were paying European Prices to stay there - our room was full of flies when we arrived, the bed sheets were creased & not very high quality, the bathroom was very damp & smelly, it was very noisy all day every day due to building works next door, there was a really bad smell of sewage when we turned on our jacuzzi so we didn't really use it. I found the beach area was disappointing, it wasn't well maintained & there were no sun beds readily available (stacked at the side of the restaurant). I asked a member of staff to take one out for me & he looked at me as if I had asked for something outrageous!
The staff were nice but very young & inexperienced. The standard of service was very poor at times. The food in the restaurant was lovely but pricey for Gili T. We felt that KoKoMo was trying to extract more money from us at every turn & weren't interested enough in customer service. We were not the only guests that were dissatisfied, as we met another couple who checked out earlier than planned as dissatisfied.
We were so disappointed with KoKoMo that we checked out after only 3 nights. We moved to Pondok Santi up the road, which we LOVED & would highly recommend (we stayed for 10 nights/1). I would not recommend KoKoMo as it is very over-priced, over hyped & disappointing.

“Amazing”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013 via mobile

Accordinv to the lonely planet this is Gili Ts Finest restaurant and they wernt wrong.

The food was amazing! Not the biggest menu to choose from but still exceptional food none the less.

The atmosphere was beautiful; we sat right by the sea :) with dim lighting.

I ordered the spatchock chicken and asked for no lemongrass in the risotto the chef came out and saw me personally as the risotto was already made up but he was more than happy to change my risotto to mash potato. The dish was sublime. My partner had the beef tenderloin also amazing.

We had rise wine - good and was given a little loaf bread to cut as an appetiser as well as a little piece of sweet and sour pork to try - all lovely.

Service was good. We asked before entering if we could pay by card as alot of the restaurants don't take cards on gili t and the waitress said yea providing we spent over 100.000rp however when we went to pay she then said they'd be a 3% charge so a little disappointing but this was less than a £1 so we couldn't complain

Food AMAZING!!! :)
