“Nice beach, empty during low season!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 15, 2013 via mobile

The swimming is best in the south east. The sunsets are best in the southwest. The snorkelling is best in the northwest (turtles) and the food is best in the northeast (try Amber House)! For a quiet night stay in the middle of the island. Also, if you make a donation at the turtle conservation centre, you can release one to the sea!

“Something for everyone”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 28, 2013

Just spent 12-28 Oct, 2013, on Gili Meno and once again, LOVED IT!!
The beach varies from rocky broken coral to broad powdery sand beaches.
The best snorkeling seems to be from the boat harbor north for 300 meters, while the best beaches are about 75 meters south of the harbor, and low tide seems to provides the best viewing period.
There are SEVERAL great scuba diving sites all around the Gilis! Turtles, lion fish, stone fish, scorpion fish, frog fish, neudibranchs, morays, sea snakes, hard & soft corals and tropical fish abound!
The quietest spots are along the south coast.
Do take a walk around the whole island, it only takes about 90 minutes, to see what else the island has to offer.
The sunset in quite good at times, but be sure to take a torch (flashlight) with you to help find your way home in the dark--- NO lights along the pathway.
Go, ENJOY~~~~

“Paradise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2013

Beautiful, quiet, picturesque and just perfect. The water is beautiful and clear and always warm. Snorkelling is amazing here. It's quiet compared to Gili T and without the touristy vibe.
