walk to beach was uneven so no good for people with mobility problems.. nudist beach right by too, didn't bother us tho but I would say use the beach further down as the first section is full off seaweed stuff ...
charged for a kettle 3.50 euros per night! for a baby could of bought one for less.. even tho we paid all inclusive and had requested one by travel agent before we went.
staff were great, very friendly..food buffet ok but had to go to bars for a cup of tea after breakfast as it wasn't served at meal times.. we were put in adjoining rooms which were small.. 3 beds and a cot in one and left with little space to move round.
hotel clean and well presented. ok location but not so for mobility as the town/ marina is about a 15 minute walk. day entertainment aimed at older people.. bowls and darts. has a kids pool but it's in the shade of the hotel so we found it cold for the baby...grounds are nice.. we enjoyed it to be fair.... on the whole I'd give it 7/10 in the lift they advertised better rooms... at a cost but being all inc. I found ours to be disappointing. Internet is cheaper at hotel down the road too!! get what u pay for.. and we expected no less than what we got. the hotel was well maintained and clean, staff lovely and helpful.. lifeguards seemed to be playing with their phones a lot every time bloomed up there they were on the phones textin or games??

We stayed in this hotel for 7 days, first thing i would say is it is very clean, every time i saw someone cleaning. The staff are very pleasant & have good manners. We went half board which suited us, the buffet breakfast & dinner was excellent, lots of choices & was enjoyable, i would say that there should be a bigger/bolder notice in regards to the libre/occupado dining card idea as this wasn't explained very well. We spent time in the pool area which is nice although i preferred the beach most of the time. We stayed in room 151, which is an interlocking room due tho this you can hear everything from your neighbour, we hardly stayed in thankfully so it didn't bother us to much.We also would have like a mini fridge to cool cold drinks, the tv only had 1 english channel for news which did the job as we werent there to watch tv.We paid for a safe which was fine to keep belongings secure. The hotel entertainment was not bad but could be better and the views weren't good unless you sat or stood in the center, I would return to this hotel but would upgrade to a much superior room in future, had a good stay all round.

We have just retuned from our second trip this year to the Hotel Cala Nova.We cannot fault this Hotel. Room Excellent!!! Food Superb!!!!Staff from reception to Restaurant to Bar to Cleaning Ladies- ALL BRILLIANT!!!!! Paco an Dani are a class act .So Funny.I cannot understand the negative commens about this Hotel .The view from the pool across to Tagamoga are beautifuland you would have to look far to get such a view.Re the charge for the safe in the room,we think it very good value for money when you can relax on holiday knowing that all your valuables are safe(excuse the pun) We do accept that the lounge could do with a little bit of a face lift, but really can't comment as we are not really in the lounge very often, preferring to go out often and soak up the atmosphere. We might add that as a couple,we do travel a lot especially in our beloved SCOTLAND. but value for money, this hotel is excellent We will most certainly look forward to returning in 2014

Arrived at the hotel for a 2 week holiday, the hotel was in a nice area with good sea views, we were on the 5th floor so had excellent views.
We found the staff very helpful and friendly.
The rooms were a bit on the small side and dated but were kept clean to a good standard, there was a TV with no remote and a poor choice of English channels, there was no kettle in the room with the option of hiring one for 3,95 euro per day x 14 = 55,3 euro’s...................we had two babies so had to buy a kettle in town for our trip cost 11 euro, also the cost of the room safe was similar.
The restaurant was large there was a good selection of food to cater for all tastes with two chefs at a hot plate area ready to cook to order nice touch, and we found the staff nice and especially patient with our children. We were no all inclusive so just had breakfast and evening meal and in the evening I would have loved a coffee to finish but the machine was turned off.
As an internet user I found WIFI was not free but was available at ten euro a day...................so in the evening instead of chilling in the hotel bar we would take a short walk to a local bar and have free WIFI and spend our money there as probably everyone else did also.
The kid’s pool was superb and well set out.
One thing I did not like were people gathering at the main entrance for smoking because every time we had to leave come back go to the pool my children partner and I would have to endure passing through tobacco smoke, and with so many other places available this unpleasant nuisance could be easily avoided.
Having all said would I stay there again yes I would.

This was our 3rd visit to the hotel in as many years, however we must say that it will be our last. The hotel is looking dated and needs some work doing on it, especially the bedrooms where the furnishings are rather tired and the bar area which looks like something out of the 1970's.
We had requested a room on the 4th or 5th floor and thought that being a returning guest we may have got it, however we were given a room on 3rd floor, which although did have a sea view was noisy from people above scraping their furniture at all hours.
What was particularly disappointing was the standard of dress in the evenings, this year there was clearly no monitoring of beachwear in the restaurant, despite it being mentioned in the hotel brochure. Men came in wearing shorts, vests and flip-flops and ladies weren't a lot better including a bikini worn under a sarong. After others make an effort to look smart, this does lower the overall appearance of the dining room.
The food is ok, nothing special and after 2 weeks it can become repetitive.
As others have mentioned, the cost of the safe is excessive especially for a 2 week holiday. It is in the room, so why is there an excess charge for this. Again as others have mentioned, there are only 2 British TV channels and both news. We accept you don't go on holiday for the TV, but occasionally you do just want to relax in your own space.
On a positive, the staff are lovely and they work extremely hard. The hotel position is ideal for the beach and for walking to Es-Cana and to Santa Eulalia along the coast path.

had a week here in September The location was great the rooms were clean and fresh towels(for room only)do take your own beach towel as they will charge if you need to use theres. We did find the food a bit disappointing also the snacks at the bar we were all inclusive but we could only choose from a very limited menu, also the cocktail were limited as well,we have been to many all inclusive holidays and all inclusive should mean just that.Saying that we did have a good time most of it spend down the beach as we could,nt get a bed by the pool which was annoying at times.I must add the beds in the rooms were so uncomfortable I ended up with a back ache . So if the improved the food and the beds and made it a truly ALL INCLUSIVE I would give it a 4 star
