stayed october 19th to 26th 2012
travelled with wife and 6 year old grandson,Cobey
on arrival was greeted by friendly and efficient reception staff.
room was a bit of disappointment.
three beds left little room for manoevre, but Cobey was impressed, exclaiming " nana's lucky granddad, she doesnt have to sleep on a couch! "
no television in the room.
24 euro per week to hire the safe in the room.
no air conditioning but it wasnt needed whilst we were there.
i am not saying the walls were thin but when next door started his uncontrollable smokers cough,i found myself wiping my face!
sky television in the lounge, including sky sports, but not espn sports, which i thought was a bit cheap.
they are the only negative comments i can make.
the hotel is clean and well run,a special thanks must go to Elina who kept our room,104,spotless,despite the efforts of myself and Cobey to make it otherwise.
food was plentiful, varied and very tasty, though as i can eat anything people who know me may question my right to comment, but it was first class.
i caught one of the female chefs giving me a look of disdain as i walked past her with my plate spilling over with succulent goodies.
surely she must have seen a big fat greedy pig in action before i arrived.
seeing me getting stuck into my pile seemed to bring out the romantic side of my wife.
"greedy fat pig" and "embarrassing" were two of her printable phrases.
i was very impressed with the facilities for children.
two unheated swimming pools, one situated at the front and one at the rear of the hotel, air hockey, pool tables, table football, slides and swings surrounded by spongey tiles so the little ones had a chance of getting up unscathed should they fall.
outdoor table tennis, small shooting range and other facilities which i may not have mentioned.
two childrens entertainers to keep your children amused should they wish to make use of this facility.
all the staff were polite, friendly and hardworking.
the hotel is situated a two minute stroll, and i do mean stroll, from the sea front.
a small beach,approx 400 yards long.
all in all an enjoyable holiday, but i wouldnt go in peak periods.
no air conditioning plus the size of the resort would lead me to think that the beach and bars could be somewhat overcrowded.
for a quiet relaxing child friendly holiday i would recommend the anfora playa for a break outside the peak periods.
room 104 gave a partial view of the front swimming pool.
i think the bar and entrance area have bee...
