“Fantastic Hosts , Wonderful Hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 3, 2011

All the reviews were absolutely spot on.The hotel overlooks the beautifil San Georgeious bay. The owner Demitri , Anastasia and Spiros greet you when you arrive as if you were part of the family and this makes you feel extremeley welcome after a long trip.I would say they are the nicest , most welcoming hosts i have ever come across in 25 years of travelling, this hospitality continued througout the holiday. The hotel itself has a good reasonably priced restaurant, with good breakfast buffet.Fantastic Swimming pool, excellent Sports court,Water,Free Air con and room safe, lovely bathroom and a mosquito net door. Will definatley visit again one day. Loved it. Kevin & Jeanette McDonald xx

Room Tip: pay the extra £2 per day wonderful views.

We booked this hotel based on its excellent reviews and weren't disappointed. The hotel is clean, modern, nicely decorated with good public areas, yet still retains its character. Nice pool area, jaccuzi etc, which I personally never used because the beautiful sandy beach is just across the road. But what makes this hotel really stand out from the crowd is the family who run it - they just could not be nicer. In fact all the staff were charming and make it a real pleasure to stay there. We are already looking to book again for later in the year, though next time we would definitely hire a car and explore more of the island.

What all the other reviews say about this hotel is all true. This is an exceptional 3 star hotel which delivers 5 star service. It's not just the usual family run hotel, it's an unusual family run hotel where the Kourkolous family involve themselves fully in the running of all aspects of service and entertainment. They also have great staff, always helpful and seemingly always available. Food, cleanliness and location are all first class. We met a number of guests who return here regularly, and it's not hard to see why. It's a quiet, small resort with plenty of tavernas/restaurants if you want a change from eating in the hotel. Good walking opportunities too. Great hotel, great location.

Most of the virtues and attraction of this delightful little hotel have already been stated - many times, and I would agree with them all! So a slightly different slant may be more useful than repetition...This resort is very quiet, even the boat hires hadn't fully started, as this apparently is the very beginning of the season, so you have a pretty little bay which has probably not changed a deal in 20 years, which is an attraction rather than a disadvantage to those who constantly return here - and to this hotel. The hotel however is constantly being updated and improved, as regulars told us. The availability of the internet, the large HD TV to watch sport, if you wish, I did -- French Open, the number of waiting staff in the dining room so you never need wait to be served aso aso. Then again the excellent level of friendly service needs to be experienced to be appreciated. The level of cleanliness, the constant tending of the lovely gardens, - everything about this place makes it very special. Has anyone mentioned the jacuzzi, just sit in and look towards the sea and the bay......aso aso..

I also would like to compliment the Thomson Rep. Karen. Pleasant, informative and really enthusiastic. She assisted with some of the entertainments. Do try Maria's Snack Shack, the home made food was excellent. The place may not look an especially smart venue, but its spotless, and well worth a try, you will return!

As a woman who went with a daughter in her thirties, it suited us both and we certainly
hope to go back to Corfu, and would certainly stay at this place again, in fact would not stay anywhere else.

We stayed at this hotel from the 9th may 2011 for 1 week,it was the first time we had been to corfu but will not be the last.
The Family run hotel is one of the best small hotels we have ever stayed in right from the start on arrival we were met by the family who greeted us at the coach and took our bags in for us (including hand baggage) checked us in and showed us to our room.
We had room 224 that overlooked the bay and was just above the restraunt, the room had just be completely renovated and was to an excelent standard with new shower and bedroom furniture.
The breakfast is continental and buffet style ample for us but for those of you who wish an english breakfast they will do it for you.
We had evening meal in the hotel at a very reasonable cost( although there are other taverns down the road should you wish to eat out).
There is entertainmet in the hotel at night it was satisfactory for us.
The sun terrace was excellent with plenty of sun beds (no need to reserve one early) the pool was very clean although cold as it was the begining of the season on our visit.
free wireless internet is provided by means of a laptop located in the lounge,I myself too my netbook and was given the access code on request.
The hotel provides safety deposit boxes in the rooms free of charge, and also provides free chilled drinking water so no need to go out buying it.
We took the island tour by Thomsons it was an early start 07:35 quite exspensive but well worth it and would advise anyone not wanting to self drive to take the tour if you want to see anything of this lovely island.
There is little to do in this resort but relax but that is what we went for if you want lively night life this is not the place for you if you want excellent service, peace and quiet and attention to detail this IS the place for you.
The beach located just across the road is very clean with golden sand and crystal clear sea though quite stoney near the sea wear something on your feet.
I must mention the Thomsons rep Karen Hall she is a credit to thomsons and had a smile and plenty of help for every one even got some sun burn lotion for my wife.
As a final summary I would recomend this hotel and we will return again.
Our thanks to all at this hotel for your hospitality and for making our stay a memorable one see you again soon
Gwen and Derek Barnes

Returned from Costas a couple of days ago and would recommend this family run hotel to anyone. The family speak very good English and are very helpful. All areas are spotlessly clean. Free internet, water and safe. No complaints about the continental breakfasts. Didn't order a cooked breakfast so can't comment on that. We had 3 evening meals in the hotel and the food was excellent but the portions were small compared to Dixtia and Delfini restaurants. The resort is very quiet - absolutely not for anyone wishing to party but an ideal base to relax or for walking around the area as we did. Buses to Corfu town had only just started running the week we were there. The last one there is at 10.15am and the last one back is 4.30pm. Not too sure if there's a bus back before 4.30pm because we didn't actually go to Corfu town.

The rooms and shower rooms are very small. There were 2 of us and the room had 3 beds in it but it was small even for 2 people. The only other downside I found was that in the evening all public areas in the hotel had low lighting and so we found it impossible to read anything, not only mags and books but any planning required for the following day if you intend to walk. However the fact that overall the hotel is superb compensates for these small complaints.

If anyone intends to walk on the donkey trail between A. Georgios and Krini/Makrades, and you have been put-off by the part collapsed trail mentioned in published walks descriptions, I can assure you that the path is easily wide enough for anyone to walk even where the collapse is located. After approx 6 steps you will have passed it, maybe without even noticing it.

We wanted a relaxing holiday with beautiful scenery and some sun if we were lucky. For the first week of the season we thought we were asking a bit much. We were not disappointed. This wonderful hotel was set in the most picturesque setting a few steps from the clean sandy beach. The greeting we received from the owners and their family is better than any I have ever received we were treated like long lost releatives. That was a treat in itself. The 'staff' are much more than just staff. We were made to feel so welcome. It was more than we expected. The hotel was spotless, the food was excellent and the beer was served in ice cold glasses. What a treat. Try the Ursus vodka!
We hired a car for a few days which made the week we had all that much better for seeing the stunning scenery in the local area. I can't fault the hotel AT ALL. If you are looking for a relaxing, calm, not pressured break this is the place for you. I can't wait to go back again. Pool with plenty of sun loungers, a covered outside terrace area, tennis court, fresh filtered water great rooms with air con available and mosquito nets meant we could have the balcony doors open all night and listen to the relaxing sound of the sea. We can't thank everyone at the hotel enough. We had a great time. C u soon.

Room Tip: The sea view rooms are great.
