“Jet-set weekend break”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 weeks ago

Well what can I say .... food was plentiful & very well presented with a great choice on the hot plates .... more pork please! , rooms were nothing special but performed a function. general location was nice and uncomplicated for our 4 day weekend break, weather was great with plenty of local alcohol served throughout the day at the bars. The entertainment was somewhat limited but hay-ho a holiday is what you make it & who you take on it. The pool was beyond freezing but very clean and well kept. Overall the hotel resort could do with a spot of paint and bit of a tidy-up .... but hey its was the end of the season and had taken a slight beating. A couple of pubs along the seafront whom were eager and most hospitable whilst we dined & drank listening to the sea lapping upto the beaches. A great place to take a short break to recharge the batteries I enjoyed every minute of the jet-set weekend break, the staff were polite and helpful but obviously on an end of season wind-down. We read the Negative input statements on here before we left for the break and was looking forward to booking into corfu's version of "faulty towers" at which we were greatly disappointed at not even meeting "Manwell" ..... or experiencing a crap encounter ...... brill weekend break, will be doing it again soon !!

We stayed at Aquis Sandy Beach in October for two weeks, hotel is 45 minutes away from Corfu airport.
Accommodation is split into loads of different blocks, some are better than others (only hearing from other holiday makers). Our accomodation was perfect! We had two very spacious bedrooms, a bathroom in each with our own sink each, fab! Each room also had spacious wardrobes for hanging & cupboard space which is superb. Rooms were very clean & towels/bedding changed frequently. We stayed in the block opposite the dining area & pool area. There are several pools on this complex all very clean & loads of sunbeds. There is a playpark and pool with slides with lifeguard at this pool only. The beach is lovely, sunbeds are payable for here. Location is good if you are looking for a quiet peaceful holiday, there are loads of shops within walking distance from the beach & buses to Corfu Town with loads more.
We absolutely loved the food at this hotel (too much!!), huge variety for everyone, desserts are amazing. Staff in the restaurant are fantastic, you literally finish & your plate is cleared, very friendly & courteous at all times. My Husband celebrated his birthday on our trip & was presented with fruit & wine & a cake from the restaurant.
Weather in October can be variable, we had 11 days of warm sunshine up to 31 degrees, a little cloud, then 3 days of thunderstorms!
My only two disappointments with this hotel was that the kids club was not well promoted & seemed hardly anyone used it & entertainment team were great at times in shows, but I have been to several places where you really know they are there & encourage you more.
A lovely relaxing holiday!
with some more ideas.

We stayed at this hotel in August 2014 and we had one of the best holidays ever! The hotel is stunning, the pools are great. Some staff are friendly, but others couldn't be bothered one bit. The reception staffs service was appalling, as we wrote on the review they gave us at the end of our holiday. The food was poor, some nights were average but the best food was when we ate out at panorama, which was an amazing restaurant with great, friendly staff, they also had a Greek night which was so enjoyable. The area outside the hotel was ok, but never busy at all which was disappointing as we love abit of nightlife. We had a great holiday but we would not return.

I am sat in this hotel as I write this review. I will never return to this hotel again, nor will I ever go all inclusive again.

We have had, and this isn't a term I use lightly, the holiday from hell!

Firstly we emailed months ago to request interconnecting rooms, we had an email back more or less promissing that we could have these, yet they put us on 2 floors! The second room even had someone in it and was filthy! The beds were hard it was like sleeping on concrete, the shower had the door missing too, so whenever you had a shower water went everywhere and flooded the room! Then to top it off the rail on the towel holder was missing.

They did give us a bottle of wine and fresh fruit to apologise, however its an all inclusive resort, I could of got this anyway! Dawn did say she would keep an eye out for 2 rooms together however when we went to ask her she took one look and then ran away! Not very professional.

Secondly, this hotel is in the middle of nowhere. There are a few shops and bars outside of the back of the hotel but nothing much at all. They do provide a bus service (€2.90 each way) into Corfu town but this is only twice a day.

The rooms are basic and ours was full of COCKROACHES! Totally unacceptable for any hotel, this makes you question the cleanliness of the kitchen. Speaking of the kitchen... The food was vile, sometimes RAW, most of the time it was leftovers which were reheated and cooked within an inch of their lives. Prisoners get fed better!

Staff are rude and lack basic communication skills. Billy the lifeguard didn't do a very good job, allowing people to use lilos on the slides and laughing when people crashed into each other. How there wasn't an accident I don't know?

Wasps everywhere along with nests all over the hotel. Couldn't sit down and have a drink or a meal without being pestered by them.

The walls are paper thin, any of time I was woken up by screaming children in the middle of the night from a room 5 doors down. Also by the inconsiderate prats in the room above constantly banging and couldn't control their children!

Drinks were watered down and served in thin plastic beakers, which were at a risk of biodegrading in the heat.

I shall never return to this hotel and as a travel agent I will not be recommending this to my clients.

Room Tip: Dont stay here!

ive read some reviews on here slating this hotel so was very aprehensive before we arrived but we got a good deal last 2 weeks of season. It helped that we had fantastic weather because the entertainment is very outdoors with the huge ampitheatre at night.daytime stuff is based roung the fun pool and volleyball on the beach. we did have 2 days of rain this did make everyone search for the shelter of the reception at night and the conferance room upstairs was then used to entertain buy the animation team. rooms were ok no real complaints the wasps were everywhere but we got used to them just have to train yourself to ignore them. the pool was freezing but the hotel is right on the beach and the sea was so warm and clear. the beach was nice you could walk for miles and not busy with the dunes streching back to the lake but i did get bit alot by mosquitos. we had a few nights in the village at a nice bar called sunrise ran buy a nice greek chap married to a lovely english girl from birmingham we watched football in there and also have some bueatifull meals in there the food in the hotel was ok we didnt go hungry but somedays were better than others but when your abroad you have to expect that the food is going be a bit differant the desserts were fantastic. breakfast a bit disapointing but you could still find something to fill you up. we went to the village some days and got a full english at the sunrise bar. we spent quite a lot of euros in the many pool tables dotted about round the hotel. all in all not much to complain about but it wasnt very busy so i think it would be a bit more stressfull in height of season. One complain would be saturday nights they seem to rent out the main resturant for weddings which means the whole holel eating in a small resturant and the food was cold and not as good in there

Room Tip: get a room near the quite pool its near the beach and the main resturant and well away from the nois...

Think we got lucky with our room as it was out of the way of the main part of the complex and had a lovely view of the beach.. Stayed in room 9217 which needed a bit of tlc but unsure if this was down to it being end of season and when I spoke to reception about the drain being blocked and so the shower overflowing they were on to it straight away. No sewer smell here but it could definitely be smelt near to some of the other blocks. My first holiday away on my own with two kids and I didn't feel intimidated or that I stuck out like a sore thumb.. All inc food was pretty much standard all inclusive food and the staff in the restaurant worked tirelessly right up until the end. Got VERY cold at night time so take some jackets. Also prepare to get bitten by mossies ! There was wasps aplenty as mentioned in other reviews but they were more like flys as they never seemed to actually sting anyone. Special thanks to Isabella who was fantastic with the kids both during the day and the night and George at the beach bar was always having a laugh and a joke. Ents team worked incredibly hard right through to the end of the season and always had a smile on their faces. The guy hiring things out at beautiful day was lovely and had a great way with the kids, there was also a lady on reception who was particularly helpful and a waiter whose name I unfortunately didn't get but who seemed to work harder than Everybody else put together. Great place if you have kids, probably wouldn't bother if it was just a couple going as geared more towards families. Would definitely go again.
