“Disgraceful. Awful. Rude. Expensive. Con artist.”
Our group all in mid to late 20s, mostly couples, had booked the whole hotel for a friend's wedding and all were disgusted at the situation at the end.
In summary-
The hotel was nice and traditional, but that is where my nice comments end. Our (double) room was literally a garden shed. Something more regularly seen in a B&Q catalogue then a 275 Euro a night (before tax) hotel and we were charged the same rate as the other guests in the hotel. The ‘shed’ was 12 foot by 12 foot and had an insect (lizard) problem. There were dead flies on the windowsill and the cleaners did not do their job. The room was so small that we could not unpack our suitcases and had to live out of them for the duration. My room was small than the majority the en-suites in the other similar priced rooms.
There was no restaurant or bar, fairly enough, but the drinks and basic food offered (toasties and pizzas) were ridiculously expensive. When asking to order the basic food on offer, he always came up with a problem or resented the order.
The owner and manager were consistency rude to all guests from start to finish. They offered no help or assistance with any matter. Every task asked of them was met with an aggressive or dismissive attitude.
The owner, upon us all checking out charged everyone in the group at extra 50 euro per room per night than was previously agreed with the bride and groom. Upon one girl in the group questioning this, he refused to talk to her and said it was not his problem. He was a vile man and I cannot stress enough that you should avoid him/ his hotel/ his presence at all costs.
Room Tip: Dont let them put you in the garden shed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
