“they need to work on getting the service better”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 1, 2013

rooms are getting a bit tired now but they are big . location is handy for pacha but there isn't much of a view . main gripe was the service was poor , we didnt get seated ( no available space ) at breakfast one day and they just were not bothered . which at the price point is just not on .

Stayed here as a solo female traveller mid June. My room was fabulous, large and airy, high quality design and had a large balcony. The bed was huge but not that comfortable and the sheets had been cleaned with such a large number of chemicals the smell was quite overpowering and the sheets so scratchy I had to wear clothing in bed. The shower head was situated at the "wrong" end of the bath where it is curved to accommodate your back, this therefore meant in order to stand under the stream of water you had to stand partially on the curved part of the bath making it quite unsafe and uncomfortable. The rest of the bathroom was lovely, lots of toiletries and great wardrobe space. The hidden bathroom door (part of the wardrobe) was a nice design idea however the sliding panel to expose the glass wall of the bathroom was an unnecessary quirk that served no purpose and was awkward.

The room service was prompt and tasty and not bad value at €50 for 3 courses. The spa was horrendous - the worst massage I've ever had! First of all trying to book an appointment from my room was impossible so I went down to the spa (one of the hotel rooms that has been converted and is staffed by one) and booked an 80 minute treatment that was supposed to include a scrub as well as a stretching Thai massage. My massage consisted of being stroked with stones and bamboo sticks - not used in Thai massage. The masseur constantly dropped the tools on me, spoke, and took her hands off (cardinal rule of massage) and even left the room at one point. There was no stretching, no scrub and when I got back to my room I discovered only 60 minutes had passed...this cost me €110! Unfortunately due to the subjective manner of massages I felt little point in complaining and also did not want to ruin the final day of my trip with an argument.

The breakfast was poor, dry pastries, no one offered the cooked egg service, selection of cheese, meat and juice was limited. The restaurant/bar is beautiful and very comfortable however particularly if you sit outside next to the pool - this is quite a small pool thankfully most guests are sleeping off the night before so you'll have it to yourself in the day.

The location of the hotel is a miles walk from Ibiza Town and in the new built up part of the town so not only are there few shops (and certainly not shops for locals) there is also no flavour to the place at all. A boring tourist enclave.

All in all I wouldn't bother staying here again, but perhaps I am not the target market as I have no desire to pretend to be a celebrity for the night with free access to Pacha.

Room Tip: Corner rooms have a bigger balcony.

After wanting to stay here for almost 6 years, I decided to treat myself and book in for my last night at the Ibiza opening parties with my partner. What a treat, it was just to die for! I was a bit worried it didn't quite live upto my expectations but instead it was better. Yes its very pricey but it was worth it just to see the place and live like a celebrity for the night! On arrival it is situated necxt to the Ibiza Grand Hotel, and its just as spectacular as it looks in the photos, and when you enter it smells of sweet cherries too. The rooms are HUGE and full of mod cons, all white and fresh looking. Bathrooms were done in white with glass partitions, very nice! Bed was super comfy and plenty luxuries like pillow menus, sushi room service and so on.

I loved the toiletries' bag in the bathroom which had toothbrushes, toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, make up remover, shower gel, body lotion, a razor & shower cap! Very handy... Just as well because there aren't many convenience stores around.

We had dinner in the restaurant which was beautiful and not too costly too. Scallops & large red prawn was to die for! My partner had the seabass & macaroon for dessert which came served all glittery and painted. We were slightly worse for wear from a weeks partying in Ibiza so unfortunately we missed out on being able to take advantage of the complimentary club entry to Pacha AND the glasses of Cava from El bar.

Didn't manage to go in the pool either, but seen it at breakfast and it did look quite small for the size of the hotel, but they good things come in small packages! It was a lovely pool area all the same & had nice sunloungers / cabanas.

If you are thinking of booking here, you wont regret it, its lovely!

I would LOVE to visit this hotel again, but note that one night wasn't just quite enough....

Stayed at the hotel for three nights in May. Was very happy with the quality of service, the large size of the white minimalistic rooms, wi fi internet with a good breakfast buffet. The guests of the hotel also get free admission to the Pacha nightclub. Only thing that was confusing were the doors to the wardrobes and the bathroom placed next to each other that looked identical! Some design goof there!

This is a nice hotel in Ibiza that is owned by the famous Pacha nightclub chain. The suites are nice but not exactly what you would expect in the US for the price. The best value for this hotel is the free admission that guests receive to the Pacha nightclub. If you are planning to regularly hit the nightclub then the savings on your admission to the nightclub makes the rates for this hotel downright reasonable. The staff was pleasant and offered high quality service. Wi-fi at the hotel was patchy at best and really only worked well in the lobby. (A bit of inconvenience) This hotel is a couple blocks from the beach and was generally very quiet compared to some of the other hotels or hotels in San Antonio. Drinks were very expensive but this is Ibiza. The breakfast buffet was nice and a pleasant surprise.

My partner and i stayed at the EL Hotel in June 2012 for 3 days and thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

The Reception staff were polite, very friendly and extremely professional as were all the staff in the hotel, from the chamber maids to the restaurant staff. They could not of done more and a big thank you to Emma Planells Molesworth who was a pleasure to deal with prior to our arrival and thereafter. I wish other hotel client facing staff were as professional.

The Hotel itself was contemporary, minimalist yet warm. The pieces of art and sculptures on display really added to the feeling of being in a gallery without the stuffiness. The decor was well maintained and the bars and restaurants were a joy in design and form. The breakfast was a compete success and the waiting staff were totally fab, very attentive and extremely courteous.

The room was very kool with a white minimalist touch and all the necessary technology, fitting, features and accessories required. The shower room was great and it was a great room altogether.

My only 2 minor complaints were the noise of the rubbish men every morning picking up the bottles and the lack of Sun in the swimming pool area throughout the day. To be honest these issues did not distract from the holiday and as we were out for the majority of the time and the lack of Sun in the area aforementioned did not affect us greatly.

Comp access to Pacha is a lovely touch and altogether we really enjoyed our trip. I have, like many other reviewers been too Ibiza many times starting in the early 1990's and have stayed at Es Vive, Ushuaia, Casa Munich and many others and Pacha is my favourite without exception. Not withstanding the lack of a view the place is very kool and everyone should try is just once.

If you come to Ibiza you come to have fun and probably alcohol so if it does get noisy during the night do not get surprised.

The hotel has it's restaurant/bar next to their own medium-sized pool chilling at which is just so re-freshing.

When visiting I had a standard room, nothing special, decent 3-4* hotel room. Had a group of friends staying at the suite on the top floor with their own jacuzzi and huge terrace, it was so much fun.

Room Tip: The suites on the top floor are amazing.
