“Very good middle Class!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 30, 2013

Very good middle Class! It was our first time in that Hotel (recommeded by some of our Friends) and during this Trip, we did spend there 2 Nights. all was fully ok and we did liked this Hotel and especially their friendly Employees there. Breakfast Service was also fully ok, with good Choices of hot Beverages. Staff did give us also good Recommendation for some Restaurants nearby.

The apartment is spacious (Living room + Kitchenette + wide bathroom + wide double bedroom + Balcony) and you enjoy your independence from the Hotel

The apartment is very clean.

Staff are friendly and the service was great. There was a problem with the air condition in the apartment (it was stopping every time we left the apartment). They fixed it every time we came back no matter what time was it. Always smiling!

WiFi not reachable in the apartment even the one that you subscribe for.

The location is somewhere between Ibiza town and Playa D'en Bossa. It is not exactly Playa D'en Bossa and that was the main drawback. Whenever you wanna go to Ibiza town / Playa D'en Bossa, you either have to take a long walk or grab a cab if you're on a hurry. That's why I recommend staying either in the heart of Playa D'en Bossa or in the heart of the Ibiza town. This way you save yourself the long walks and grab a cab whenever you want to visit either places.

To be specific, I suggest you stay in Playa d'en Bossa. Somewhere next to Bora Bora beach!

Stayed here for a week in mid July.

The staff were all very good, except for some miserable blonde girl in the bar - but we chose to just ignore her,

Had a great room over looking the beach. It was of a good size - clean and comfortable.

Only minor gripe is that the wi fi is restricted to the reception area only and it is very slow/unreliable!

Pros: good price, big room with balcony ( we were in the apartments across the street), great location, towels changed daily, nice beach in front of the hotel

Cons: STAFF!!! As we were checking in, I asked the man at the front desk if there was a restaurant in the hotel... He told me shh, ignored me and never answered the question..
We had some trouble getting the lock for the safe in the room, for some reason they seemed reluctant to give it to us.
But worst of all was the service in the restaurant... Waiting 20 mins for an order of fruit and one tapa. Finally they bring me some Chinese food?!?! And no fruit.... Asked twice for the fruit.. 20 minutes later no fruit, and the waitresses gave a lot of attitude.
Not all staff were bad... The front desk staff change constantly and some were very helpful, and I highly recommend the masseuse that works in the hotel.

Lastly.. The air conditioner was broken and the front desk staff insisted it was fixed, after sending one man to look at it, they gave up and we had to spend some nights in a very hot room!

My friend and I stayed here over a long weekend, and chose the Mar Y Playa Apartments becuase we wanted somewhere away from the mayhem of Playa Den Bossa, but close enough to get to the clubs and beach bars at that end of the bay without having to pay for a taxi. We also wanted to be within walking distance of Ibiza town - essentially a good place to act as a base for the weekend. We got just what we'd hoped for. The apartment (no with a sea viw but over the road) was an ideal size; it was very clean, comfy and had evenything you could want for, and was great value! The local area has more than enough bars, restaurants, supermarkets etc to keep you fed and watered and is not dominated by 24/7 dance music drowning out all other sounds - in fact we only saw one bar that had a in-situ DJ (phew). When we did go on a clubbing excursion that required a taxi, it cost no more than 10 euros to get to DC10 right by the airport (cheaper than a beer!) and it took us about 20 minutes meander to walk back from Space.
Overall, we would definately return to these apartments as they were perfect for what we wanted. Great Location; great accomodation; great everything...

Arrived at Mar y Playa and reception told us to go next door to Mar y Playa II which have the standard rooms. Room not ready so we had lunch on the terrace over looking the beach. Good food and wine but a bit pricey (13.65 for a burger). Room soon ready and went up to second floor overlooking the beach. Apartment roomy and balcony a bit tight. Room equipment in poor condition and bathroom needs refurbishment. (A soap dispenser was fitted to the showewr wall during the stay). Towels changed daily and sheets three times durning the week Meals are taken at Ibiza Playa, which is next to Mar y Playa. Food good and head waiter very customer focused. The whole apartment block is tired and in need of repair. Can get noise from promenade which runs infront of all three especially from local children late at night. Ibiza town interesting and many bargains in the boutique style shops. Many restaurants and bars at good quality. The bedroom was very dirty upon arrival and never properly cleaand during our stay. We brushed and moped the floor daily.

Room Tip: Ask for room to get afternoon sun...morning sun does not last very much on the east facing wing

For a quick break you can't beat this place, we had five days there as a last minute booking, the staff were very friendly, service excellent, restaurant/food/breakfast very good, apartment reasonable place to stay when you're out all day and just need somewhere to crash.
Hop on a boat from the doorstep into Ibiza Town and enjoy the chic restaurants, shops n bars and fantastic Ice Cream parlous, the scenery is not bad too!
Only fault is where are our bl&£dy postcards, posted in the hotels box and never seen again, boo....
