“Lovely hotel in a great position”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2012 via mobile

Just returned from staying at hotel Maritimo with my mum and I have to say we had a really nice stay. I wasn't expecting anything amazing from reading the reviews but we were pleasantly surprised! Our room was ok, not a view as such but we weren't there to sit on the balcony, it was very clean, with the beds tidied every morning. The bathroom was a good size, with a great shower, again very clean. Probably the only gripe was the pillows weren't that great, but who cares!

The food was really nice, the choice at breakfast was brilliant, from cereals and fruit and yoghurts, to omelettes and boiled and fried eggs, to fresh cooked tomatoes and mushrooms both cooked with herbs! Also croissants and other pastries! The evening meals were a good choice too, there was always a fish, chicken and pork choice along with the veg and salad choices and then the fruit and yoghurts for dessert.

The bar and restaurant staff were also nice, if you smiled at them they smiled and were polite back!

The location of the hotel can't be faulted, great position for sitting outside watching the world go by with a back drop of the beautiful ever changing seascape. There is a small beach by the hotel which is ok, the better one though is the main figueretas beach which is not stoney and a lot clearer sea.

I would definitely return to this hotel!

Great hotel
provided shower and washroom to fresh up after the checkout.. we had a flight at midnight so didnt have bookings for that day. Maritimo offered to keep luggage in luggage room and provided shower room to dressup after day out on beaches.. great front office staff.
Didn't like the restaurant staff. they were rude. So if you are not eating there it's a good place.
Cons: no outdoor swiming pool

Room Tip: Almost all rooms are with seaview.. take on 3rd floor which is actully on the road. so easy to get i...

Hotel Maritimo was one of the few hotels that were available when we ordered our impulse “one week” retreat in July 2012. But we were lucky. Maritimo delivered. Not only is the hotel excellent value for money, but it also has a stunning location. Situated only five minutes’ walk from Figueretas beach and half an hour’s slowly walking from the main city center of Ibiza town, it’s very quiet and cozy. Plus there is a small local beach just of the bar/restaurant. Hence: very convenient for those morning and late night baths. The hotel itself is clean and tidy. It’s not Hilton but it does the trick.

The room that I eventually got was perfect. I declined the first room I was appointed due to the fact that it was (as other Tripadvisor guests have commented)”a prison cell” with no terrace/balcony and just a window that could not be opened) I had to pay 25 Euros extra per night for a top floor room (5th floor) with sea view. Normally it would have irritated me immense because the hotel on their webpages claims that all rooms have a terrace or balcony, but for some unknown reason I was okay with this. Perhaps because of the charm of the hotel itself and the fact that the room I got was nice. I had no problems falling asleep to the sound of the waves. The view was excellent. One should however be aware of the noisy aircon of the neighbor building and request a room to the left of 505 (facing the sea).

The staff were polite and friendly, and I would not hesitated to recommend this hotel to anyone given that one is selective with regards to witch room one is allocated. I`ll certainly go back to Ibiza and perhaps I`ll stay at Maritimo. It’s a nice place.

Quaint little guest house/hostel
Price is decent if you're spending your $$$ in clubbing and swimming pools
Downstairs restaurant is quite nice too
Good location
Nearby beach is lot less crowded than in Salinas
Breakfast buffet is average for just 6euros
Enough hangover food to get you by

Beautiful location, if you want the quieter end of Ibiza.

Great restaurants nearby, quick walk to the beach and Ibiza town.

Excellent service at reception.

Our room was comfortable with a great view.

I have wanted to stay at this hotel for some time, but have been unable to get a room because it is always booked up, which shows its popularity. It is well position within walking distance of Dalt Villa, about 10 mins away but feels like its in a really quiet spot at the end of the promenada, with the beach on your doorstep, breakfast outside and your right on the beach, with a spot of people watching thrown in. We booked B & B and was very happy with the food which was plentyfull. the rooms were cleaned everyday by very pleasant cleaners, with clean towels provided.

The reception staff were also very helpfull and friendly. At first we were disappointed there was no outside pool but the beach is so close it feels like the hotels private beach anyway. An added bonus is the inside pool and gym, which is a little hidden away opposite to the restaurant entrance, but quite well equipt, with a hot tub as well.

Around the area there are a number of good restaurant, we particularly like the Chinese on the Beach front walking back towards Playa Den Bossa.

Overall a well placed, clean, friendly hotel well worth the visit.

Room Tip: I would suggest a room on the upper floor perhaps on floor 4 or 5 overlooking the beach if possible...
