We've just returned from 3 months travelling around the world and although we didn't stay at this hotel, I would strongly recommend reconsidering if you are thinking of staying here.
We chose this hotel from this site and was booked via our travel agent who then booked it through Gulliver Travel in London.
Upon our arrival, (8 weeks into our trip mind you with no problems what so ever), we presented our voucher and were told that we didn't have a booking here. Of course we argued the fact, but were told there was nothing we could do. So when we asked where to from here, the lady at the counter directed us to a hotel which was apparently 30 mins away (only ended up being 10 mins - always helpful when the locals know where they are going!). We asked her to ring the hotel to confirm and she said that it had already been done earlier in the day so everything should have been fine. Well, after getting into a taxi with 4 large suitcases, we get to our next hotel who advised that they too, didn't have a booking in our name. From there, we kindly asked them to sort out the situation, and they called Gullivers in London and directed us to another hotel around the corner. Bear in mind, this hotel - Hotel Real Playa, Talamanca, had nothing to do with us, yet were very helpful.
Turned out that Nautico Ebeso were rejecting all accommodation requests from Gulliver but were not advising them of this and just ignored it. So 2 lessons to be learnt from here, don't book through Gulliver Travel and don't listen to anything the staff at reception tell you - especially if they don't even know the town 10 mins away from their hotel!!

“Nice Clane Hotel, Great Location but Shame about Figueretas”

Nautico Ebeso Hotel

Just had 7 nights at the Nautico Ebiso and by and large we had a great time, the hotel is owned by BG Hotels and eventually I found their website www.bghotels.com/index-en/ebeso.htm although I do have some reservations, some of which have been echoed here before by previous reviewers. We upgraded the room at 150 Euros to a sea –facing room which was well worth it thanks for the Trip Advisor advice, just to have a little balcony to recite Shakespeare sonnets to Spanish fishermen was reason enough! We found the staff to be pretty friendly and helpful although sometimes a bit rude (they would be having a conversation in Spanish with colleagues and ignore you at reception for a few minutes, although we found this to be a pretty common theme in Spain!) The hotel is very clean throughout and the rooms were cleaned spotlessly each day (we managed to sneak our pet kangaroo ‘Mugabe’ through Spanish customs and he gave the cleaners a stiff challenge in the mornings after we had kept him in there all night! – see the pictures of him having a great time and he loved the 2 for 1 Happy Hour cocktail promotion at a bar nearby, I’m certain that the Spanish have never seen a drunk baby kangaroo the look on their faces was priceless when he staggered back to the hotel late in the venings) The air con worked fine but you have to make sure the patio windows were closed completely or it wouldn’t. We had to pay 25 euros for the key to the safe in the room (10 euros were returned at the end when you handed back the key) . Breakfast was a vegetarian nightmare – the only thing we could eat was bread and cheese and a fried egg on toast, coffee was disgusting too! – One thing I did which made such a difference was buy a travel kettle a cafeteria and some Lavazza before we left which meant we could have nice coffee in the room. The rest of the time we stayed by the pool in the hotel – very clean and looked after every morning but sometimes overrun by local Spanish children when the schools finish each day around 4pm which was a bit annoying. The bar in the hotel was very reasonably priced for drinks and ice cream, and there are a couple of local shops within about 5 minute walk for everything. There was also an internet computer 1 euro was 15 minutes but no wireless.
Figueretas itself is not very attractive unless you are doing a diploma in dog mess, then this would be perfect place for your practical exams! - There are a few restaurants all doing similar food – pizzas meat fish etc, there was a really nice fresh croissant shop that opens early for good coffee and freshly squeezed orange as you walked towards Figueretas each near the cash machines and taxi ranks doing nice baguettes at lunch. We walked to Hotel Es Vive (15-20 minutes) for lunch which was nice – very clubby hotel that has spawned its own CD’s nearby.
Ibiza is really struggling in summer to cope with taxi requests and it was frustrating waiting for 30 minutes sometimes for a cab - many bars in the hills are employing illegal drivers to get you home as the regular taxis just can’t satisfy demand quickly enough.
Walking into Ibiza town took 15 minutes which was perfect – we ate out there in the evenings – the two highlights were La Oliva in the Dal't Villa nd the best was La Brasa in Ibiza town, I booked these from the UK as it is impossible to get a table by just turning up – La Brasa was the best beautiful outside garden and great food. Other places I recommend out of Ibiza town is Bambuddha Grove where we had great sushi, La Paloma in San Lorenzo a new restaurant a hidden secret well worth it,but again essential to make a reservation, also a new country hotel near San Lorenzo called Atzaro which was the most amazing bar I have been to and whilst we didn’t eat there the restaurant looked fabulous, a spa hotel hidden in the hills each room with its own pool!
So all in all we would go back to Nautico Ebiso but only see it as a stepping stone to experience Ibiza as Figueretas is just not very nice, unless you enjoy the smell of warm dog mess (I’m sure there are some people who have this fetish, (probably from New Jersey, Staten Island or some parts of north Yorkshire!)
So we are back home safely now with Mugabe we had a great time and will be back, look at my pictures to see the hotel etc and Mugabe enjoying the Spanish sunshine:)

As we both got busy jobs and so we only had 2 weeks off in summertime, so we try to plan our trip always as good as possible.

We booked our holiday at a spanish website and did a follow-up by phone just to make sure that everything was ok, included our sieview, which we paid for.

Must say that there's a big price difference for this hotel on the web, it varies till 1000 euro!

We received a room on the 5th floor, that's 2 floors up by the elevator adn one stair down. It was the last room of the floor, it be honest: HORRIBLE...

No balcony, very small and extreem hot (no airco wa set on).

We openend the curtains and window, we could not believe what we saw: our view was the firestairs.

As we paid a loot of many, we could not accept this room, but the reception told us no other rooms were available (even though we paid for a larger room with balcony and seaview).

We went the next day again in order to get the room we paid for or just leave and wanting my money back. Now the reception was more helpfull than ever, and we received the room we requested and paid for.

If you've got a room with sieview on a high floor, the view is great, very quiet, although one night our Italian neighbours were drunk and decided to redecorate teh room, at 5 in the moring. One warning from the reception was enough for that.

The Hotel is a bit outdated, but has got all the needs you could espect from a hotel in this price range/

The staff is really nice (reception could be nicer and more helpfull) and the sitaution is great. Close to Ibiza town, but not to crowded.

If you rent a car, you cannot park in front of the hotel, it's a 3 minute walk to a general parking lot. (Ibiza is becoming more car-crowded every year).

I would recommend this hotel, but only that you can make sure you'll have a good room, otherwise you'll pay to much.

The location is good. With a stroll along the promenade there are plenty of cafes, restaurants, shops etc. In the evening there are lots of interesting market stalls as well. You have to remember that everything in Ibiza town seems to close between 1pm and 5pm.

The pool on a separate terrace overlooks the bay, which is great. There are a good number of sun beds and parasols, but there was an unfortunate shortage of parasol bases, so you couldn't use them!

The air conditioned bar is good, but seems to be used more by off duty staff than guests. However, the bar staff were great. Tables outside are pleasant, but the piped music can be a bit loud and intrusive..

The rooms are ok, but on arrival we were told the hotel was overbooked. We were put in the Victoria for one night, which is in the middle of nowhere. Apparently this is not uncommon in August. That said, the manager accompanied us in person (when we pointed out we had a car and didn't want a taxi) and the manager, unprompted, put a generous amount behind the bar for us as compensation.

The internet access was out of order (as it was for the rest of our stay).

The air con and ceiling fan were great but the double bed was relatively small and was uncomfortable.

I agree with other reviewers that a sea view is a real must and is definitely worth the extra!

Car parking is awkward, but there is a large parking area at the end of the road, about 500m from the hotel. This is free to use.

The food was ok, but nothing spectacular. We had a small altercation when we sat at a table for six and were asked to move. There weren't any tables laid for four - apparently we were supposed to sit at a table laid for two and wait for the other places to be provided. Unfortunately, no-one thought to tell us this and the staff attitude came across as quite abrupt and rude.

Overall I would say the location is great and the hotel is acceptable, but not as good as some reviews would suggest. The hotel La Cala in St. Eulalia was far superior for similar money.
