“Great Location, nice rooms”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 27, 2012

This Hotel is very handy as it's on the sea front and from the back there is small staircase leading to the citadela of Ibiza. Rooms are essential but very stylish. Breakfast is good and there are windows overlooking the sea. A shame wi-fi is not free.

We've been going to Ibiza for over 30 years and go on average 3/4 times a year so needless to say we have stayed wein quite a few hotels there. We purposely picked this one as I'd been in to see it earlier in the season we like the location as it's an easy walk to Ibiza town which is a must out of season as so much is closed elsewhere. We arrived to be greeted by a let's say unfriendly dismissive receptionist.
Our room was small but very clean alas no balcony which was a bit strange, nice bathroom terrible design of shower though the floor gets soaking with every use.The staff are really rude and very unfriendly and nearly all of them which is slightly bizarre and a real shame. My hubbie speaks good Spanish and makes a real effort but even that made no difference clearly they are not happy about something. The breakfast was fine. It's a nice hotel cool and trendy with fab views and it was fine out of season but I wouldn't stay there in peak season and not sure why I say that. I didn't love the pool area particularly again nothing wrong with it really a bit old fashioned maybe just the vibe I got. With nice welcoming staff this hotel would go up a notch normally I'm not bothered by the odd unfriendly person but when it was the majority it's not right. I'd go there again out of season if price was OK but we would want a balcony and sea view ideally.

Room Tip: Ask for sea view or at least make sure you have a balcony

We stayed here for 3 nights recently and loved it! The hotel is a 10 minute walk from town and has plenty of places to eat and drink nearby. Pool area and bar are both nice, you cant really swim at the beach though. Previous reviews about the unfriendly staff are accurate although we made a point of being super friendly and found them to be ok; not terribly welcoming but we weren't here to spend time with them anyway! Great place to stay if you're looking for somewhere a bit quieter than the main drags.

Lovely hotel! The modern, simplistic decor was gorgeous and made up for our room being quite small and difficult to navigate once your suitcases become strewn across the floor!

We paid for the sea view room which I highly recommend. The view was stunning, it was just relaxing to sit on the balcony! Also, I was worried about some of the comments about bad air-conditioning but we didn't have a problem with that in our room. At first I thought it wasn't working - the reason this may be is because the air-conditioning will only work if the balcony doors are closed.

The staff were also great and very happy to help. The only gripe I had was the additional costs - the internet is not included (4 euro a day) and you need to also leave a deposit for beach towels, an iron & board and the safety deposit box key in your room. I thought this was a little rough, especially the key for the safety deposit box. However, it's probably not surprising for Ibiza.

I would still return despite the fees, I think for the price the hotel was good value and quite stunning compared to other hotels in the area.

Room Tip: Pay for the sea view!

I stayed at the Nautico Ebeso for 4 nights this month and had a really good time there. The hotel is really modern so everything inside is new & freshly decorated. Definitely pay the extra and go for a sea view room on the 5th or 7th floor - its worth it, otherwise you will have a view of the street outside & you wont have a balcony.

Positives:
-Good comfortable & firm beds
-Excellent blackout curtains
-Quiet location so no aircraft or club noise
-Great view from the balcony
-Excellent shower & modern bathrooms
-Good TV stations & flat screens
-Good breakfast (although it finishes at 10.30am)
-Close to Ibiza town
-Excellent value for money
-Very clean & modern
-Safe in the room

Negatives:
-Fridge in the room wasnt very cold
-Telephone wasnt even connected so wasnt working & neither was the ceiling fan
-Snack bar menu was very limited & often they had run out of certain things but the pizza's were very good!
-Swimming pool area is very dated & tatty
-Tiny soap bars in the bathroom, no tissues (apart from toilet roll)
-1 bath towel per person
-Not much to do in the local area although there are supermarkets & a couple of low key bars
-No tea & coffee making facilities
-Wifi was EUR 4 for 24 hours per device which I felt was reasonable but should ideally be free

We had a really good time, I would really recommend this hotel as its a perfect base, it is no frills & its not a luxury hotel but it is very clean & modern & did the job perfectly.

Room Tip: Get a sea view room ideally on the 5th or 7th floor

we have visited this hotel for the past 11 years, the new improvements have to be seen to belive, service as good as ever, clean rooms staff very plesant and helpful. would recomend it to all ages
it is very tastefully decorated the main them is black and white with a touch of silver.
it's so easy to walk into ibiza town or you can get a taxi for about 5 euros, the food could be a little better but on the whole very good value for the price paid

Room Tip: try it out, book a sea view room

I have waited 2 months to do this review as I have complained three times asking for a refund. I booked a superior room online hearing it was special and reading reviews of a room on the top floor. Our room was over a big green roof. I questioned this and was told this was the only room they had and it was "superior". Yes it was nice, but not worth the price per night... More than a 5star hotel in the centre of London, nothing like the room I booked. Since returning home I have tried to get someone to listen but all I get quoted is there was only one sea room. My notes as I was booking show there were more options. If you get a bargain then it's a nice hotel but if not then look elsewhere.
