“Perfect Ibiza vibe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 5, 2011 via mobile

Stayed at Es Vive with a group of friends for 4 nights at the end of August. It was our first time here and now I wouldn't stay anywhere else. Only downside was our room was particularly small, our friends all had larger rooms but we chose not to complain because it really didn't bother us that much, the hotel itself just has such a nice chilled vibe exactly what you need during the day. A true Ibiza vibe, unlike new super hotels like Ushuaia that could learn a lot from the unique personal service here. The staff at Es Vive are all amazing and would go out of their way to make you feel at home, it's just so relaxed, great DJ's and tunes pumping by the pool through the day and a great little bar to go back to post club. Ideal location, just far enough from Playa d'en Bossa main strip, 4/5 mins in a cab or a 20 min walk along the beach. 100% will be staying at this small but perfectly formed hotel again.

We travel to Ibiza every year and have stayed at various hotels 4 & 5 star alike but we must say that Es Vive is the perfect place with a perfect vibe for us 30 somethings who still wish to party to stay.....
I agree with previous reviewers that the room sizes are small but apart from that no complaints. Service and people you meet are fantastic.
Keep up the good work Es Vive and we will see you all again next year.

Stayed at Es Vive in July / August 2011, paid 218 Euros per night (pay for 6 and get 7th night free deal) for a so called 'deluxe twin' and was horrified when i opened the door to my room! It was like being in an Ikea showroom, cheap thin wardrobe and desk, rusty old chair, a very small bathroom with what i can only describe as a 'mini' bath for a dwarf! The decor is plain with a feature wall which you probably see on all the PR shots on their web site etc which make it look quite retro and cool but in reality it isnt. There are no tea / coffee making facilites which makes me wonder how they got their hotel grade in Ibiza as these days even the most basic 1 star hotels around the world have a kettle!!

Once u go poolside you kind of realise why it is so expensive to stay at Es Vive. There are no idiots there and has an exceptional pool area, all be it a bit small. it is full of party people who are there for the same reason you are. Plus as there are no families there you can carry on as long as u want, if you know what i mean, with no hotel security keeping an eye on you!! The pool is clean and we had no problem getting a sunlounger even in the height of summer.

The free breakfast was very good quality which kind of took a little sting out the cost and even when we ordered room service or ate by the pool it was pricey but was good quality.

i would like to say that the best thing in this hotel are probably the receptionists, they are 5* quality and seemed to have an answer for every situaton that arose, they were polite, professional, multi lingual and very very helpful.

There is a bar inside the hotel which is very well sound proofed, sadly it never seemed to get going probably due to the cost of the drinks! Its one thing to pay 11 euros a drink in a club which has internatonal DJs playing etc etc but to pay that price in your tiny 'boring' hotel bar with just a resident DJ is disgusting, i think Es Vive need to have one price for guests and one for people who have just walked in off the streets.

Free Wifi was a good touch but so it should be for that price a night!

Overall i wouldnt stay at Es Vive again as i believe i can get a hotel like this that includes a good quality bedroom for the same if not a little less money.

Just back from a four day trip and would definitely recommend this hotel. We will be back! It's a ten minute drive from the airport and 5 minute drive into town (or 20 minute walk assuming you don't take directions from my brother or stop to speak to the boat woman to find out where the boats are). The beach is a 2 minute walk & supermercado is right next door. There were eight of us, all couples and it was our first visit. We did it all and had a blast. Staff at the hotel are excellent. The bar staff work particularly hard, always clearing up, happy to take orders, make a great cocktail and do not intimidate you in any way. We spent a lot of time in the hotel and nothing we asked for was a bother. Reception was also very friendly and helpful. Rooms were tiny unless you were my mate Lindsay who made the bookings and got a suite including three balconies for her troubles, so it's worth asking for one of the better rooms. The bar area was never too busy & we always had space and shade if we needed it. The pool is small and beds close together but it was clean and comfortable. The djs that came on evey day at around 2 were great. The other guests were cool and friendly. It's safe to say we were not "cool" but never felt like Jo**ies in a swimming pool.

If you are looking for relaxation this is not the place for you. It's not cheap but that means the guy who was sick next to you on the plane on the way over will not be there. The service is good, the people laid back and that made our stay. The breakfast by the way is great and served till 11. Thereafter the bar menu is good. Restaurants in the area are average. Go to All Bar Bistro on the front which has excellent food. Service poor but food worth waiting for. I recommend the steak but stay clear of the escalopes! Beach is not great but close.

Enjoy and happy birthday Ali!

My husband and I stayed there for closing partys last Sept, which isn't our first visit, as always amazing atmostphere, service, tunes and food. The rooms are quite basic for the money, but the communual areas are really what you pay for, will stay again on next visit.

We have stayed there for a few days . It is a small hotel but very friendly all the staff were ready to help us any time . We had a triple room small room though my friend had a single a tiny room also but It has all the necessaries you need and very clean. They cleaned our room every day . The rooms that faces the front of the hotel are a bit noisy as from 12 pm dj starts playing at the pool and during the night they have party going on in the hotel and people are coming out smoking chatting outside in the front.
The food was nice we like it , the breakfast also was alright .
As money value we find it a bit expensive as it is a small hotel first impression is a bit dissapointed when you see it . After you are alright .
The location is good to reach the big clubs 10-15 minutes drive to the airport ( 10e the taxi) less than 10 min to Space and close to Pacha even Amnesia wasnt too far we saved money using the taxis.
The most we liked was the spa facility the girl is doing nice massages , facials, they even have fish pedicure. All were at reasonable price it is worth it after a heavy clubbing night and spoil yourself.
It is a hotel for those people they come for fun and party and no families . If you dont want kids around playing screaming or old people complaining or looking strange at you definitely choose the place.
Enjoy your stay!!

We just returned from a five night stay at this hotel. Basic hotel but very pricey for what it actually is - the rooms are basic, shower dreadful with an awful shower curtain, if it wasn't for the nice pool I would have rated this as a terrible review. Breakfast was poor- I would have preferred a room only rate and eaten breakfast elsewhere. Location wise it's about 20 minutes walk from Ibiza Town and about 10 euros in a taxi. What really let the hotel down for us apart from the basic rooms was the noise - we had to suffer a number of dogs barking from about 7pm - 3am every night then as the walls and corridors are so thin you could hear everyone coming back in and due to the profile of people staying they weren't very respectful to other guests. If you are looking to catch up on sleep, this hotel is definately not for you. We won't be staying at this hotel again or recommending it to others.

Room Tip: Ask for a room as high up as possible to avoid the noise from the bar
