“Great Ibiza base”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 12, 2013

If your looking for a base away from the liveliness of bora or San An, this would be fine. Its a 15 minute walk to bora beach. Was fine for me, who doesn't mind quiet by day, but if ur looking for a lively day hotel, this probably wouldn't be for u. Hotel was basic, but clean, one of the better I've stayed in in Ibiza. Perfect for group bookings

We have just got back from our first family holiday abroad with two boys aged 7 and 10 staying for 11 nights. There were at least three or four other families there.
We stayed self catering and as has already been mentioned on here, the lack of a kettle and oven did limit the food we could prepare but we were still able to eat. We ate in the restaurant one night and the food was plentiful and there was a varied selection.
The room itself was on the third floor with excellent views and was more than adequate for us with excellent air conditioning. The towels were changed daily and the cleaners came in every day too. The two pools were greatly enjoyed by the boys and we spent many happy hours lazing around and buying drinks and ice creams from the wonderful bar staff.
The staff were all very friendly, especially with the boys and a little Spanish speaking was much appreciated.
It can be a bit noisy in the evenings as the clubbers prepare to go out, but generally the security team are very good and once the clubbers have gone out you can hear the waves lapping on the beach.
The hotel is ideally suited for Ibiza Town and Playa den Bossa both only 15 - 20 minutes walk away.
Would we go back? Yes we would and probably very soon.

As a kid we stayed at this hotel every year, it was the perfect family hub with all the desired amenities, hence my reason for returning with my family, what a disappointment!

The hotel was expensive for 'self catering' especially as the room amenities were very limited for being able to actually cater for ourselves. No kettle, toaster and very limited cutlery etc.

We requested a ground floor room for safety reasons and were pleased this was arranged, however the room was just awful. There were live wires hanging out of the bedroom wall socket and the bathroom bidet was leaking and smelled terribly of urine. We alerted reception and the socket was fixed, the plumbing was attempted several times, we gave up asking in the end. Reception was efficient in organising the works, but the room was just not acceptable for anyone, especially not a family - the cot was just next to the wires!

The hotel offered free child places and seems geared towards families, however there was no entertainment day or night and the play area was closed for refurbishment; when it opened it was full of beer bottle lids, glass and a used condom!

The hotel was generally quite run down and grubby, not what it used to be, but acceptable. I don't think the little pool was cleaned the week we were there and our bed sheets were finally changed for our last night.

It was noisy at night with music and shouting - if it wasn't the clubbers then it was security shouting at them - fine for a clubber hotel, not a family one.

This hotel is a shadow of its former self and not somewhere I would recommend for families at all - a real shame.

Room Tip: The ground floor was terrible - higher rooms seemed less noisy.

Please receive my thanks for taking your time in sending some words about your stay in aparthotel Jabeque. we appreciate the negative and the positive comments. Ibiza has changed a lot over
the last years and during the months from june to end of September, we have mostly young people allocated in our hotel. Jabeque is situated just in the middle of everything, we have 1,5km to the most famous Discos in Ibiza and the same to the center of town, and a short drive to other famous discos. We know that family holiday might not be the most ideal.
We clean the public areas and the pools every day early morning and late evening but we are aware of your comments and the rooms we make a check at arrival, but we can make mistakes, but we will do it better and we are in the process to change it. THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

Just got back this morning from a 6 night stay. The hotel is in a very good location 20 mins walk to bora bora and 5 minute cab ride €8. There is a restaurant called Prince about 5 minutes from the hotel it's pretty good. The hotel reception stay are all friendly especially the man who is own the desk at night I never got his name. The cleaners are lovely too. Fresh towels everyday :) .. All in all I had a fabulous stay at the hotel and shall be the only hotel I stay at in the future when in Ibiza.

This was our first time at Jabeque. Location is good, if wanting to spend most of your time on a beach or in Ibiza town. A good range of bars and restaurants within walking distance. Apartments are basic - don't plan on cooking too many meals - eating out is the better option. Two pools, lots of sun loungers so pool area fine. Being apartments, noise can be an issue, but there are security guards who regularly patrol in the evening to ensure problems do not arise. Reception staff, cleaners etc. very friendly. On the whole, basic but friendly.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on one of the higher floors - most have balcony sea views.

This hotel is in a good location, with bars and restaurants a short walk away, and the infamous Bora Bora beach is about a 20 minuite walk or for about 7euros a 5-10 minute taxi ride. The staff were really helpful and friendly. One of the young men on reception in particular (didn't get his name) was really accommodating and was able to give lots of advice about where to go and how to get around. We were 3 girls sharing a one bedroom self catering apartment. For the price you can't really go wrong, the apartment was spacious, tidy and cleaned daily, the towels were also changed daily. There was also a nice sized balcony with a sea view and access from both the bedroom and living area. The only down side is that there was no toaster, microwave or KETTLE! We had to boil water in a pan and use the teapot (which was provided). The Wifi isn't free but it's not too expensive should you need it. We had a look at the pool area but didn't use it as we preferred to be on the more lively Bora Bora Beach. Overall a really good value for money hotel, ideal for all age groups. We would definitely stay there again.

We are happy that you passed some happy days in our Apart/hotel Jabeque and we thank you for taking the time to give us some words about your stay.Jabeque is situated just in the middle of Playa d´Bossa y Ibiza Ciudad and not far from the most famous discos in the Island, you can even walk 15 minutes to Playa d´Bossa. We have observed your comments of the missing equipment in the kitchen and we are in the process to replace all, so if you feel for comming back another thime you will find some more things.THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

This was the third time that I have been to Jabeque, and nothing has changed from the last time 15 years ago apart from they now do b&b or half board. We decided to go half board, but really wish that we had gone for the B&B option. The food was not good in the evenings and we ate out most nights, but the breakfast was absolutely fine.
The rooms are cean spacious and have a wonderful seaview, but a little dated, but as we were only sleeping there it really didn't bother us. The shower was excellent.
The first half of our week it was very easy to get a sun bed, but the second proved to be a little more difficult.
Most of the guests were male and female groups staying for the clubs which was a drastic difference from when I stayed there before with my children!
I would return, but would probably on a self catering basis.

We are situated in the middle of everthing, we have close to Ibiza center and close to all the clubs in Playa den Bossa therefore our customers are rather young and comming for clubbing but they are visiting us mostly in juli and agust, we try to do our best to keep the hotel for all type of clients even it is complicated in high season. Our halfboard we have made some changes and there are more plates to choose between. Thank you very much for taking the time in giving us a feedback.
