“Nice hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012

Myself and my fiance stayed here in early October and its fab for a cheap getaway.Yes the rooms are dated but the most important thing is that they are clean.Pool is freezing though!Good selection of food if a little strange at times!Fantastic location, right on the beach and next door to all the shops and restaurants. If you get chance go to the little welsh bar where when football is on pints are 1.50 euros and check out the Olimpic bar too.The best thing thing about the hotel is the staff are so kind and helpful.

We stayed for 3 nights in October. It was just a cheap getaway in the sunshine and as we didnt pay alot we didnt expect alot. We stayed on the 7th floor in a 1 bed apartment with a sea view. Unfortunately we got 2 single beds instead of 1! The view was magnificant though, and it made up for the somewhat dated room that could really do with some TLC. It was however clean and spacious. There was no air con so the room was very hot, but the doors and windows opened fully to let the sea breeze in and we had a great balcony.

We stayed on B&B board. breakfast was fine, good selection and allcoated same table each day so you new where to go!

The rooms were quite noisy, could hear our neighbours talking and banging and crashing all night, so take ear plugs!

The pool was lovely and clean and lots of chairs to lounge on. The location was brilliant right on the sea front with lots of restaurants and shops around.

Staff were all really nice. had fun making cocktails with one really nice barman, wish we caught his name, but he had a huge smile and he should be known for the invention of our chocolate mamma mia - if it appears on next years cocktail menu!

As a couple i dont think we would go mid season as it strikes me as more family/children orrientated, but out of season it was fine for us.

Room Tip: Higher rooms have less banging from overhead.

I stayed here for 2 weeks sept/october on a self catering basis. The only drawback was I had to stand the kettle on edge of sink also toaster as there was no surface under the one plug to sit them on. I asked for a bowl to put vegetables etc to cook in for Microwave, which was produced within the hour, so no problem. The room was spotless and cleaned regular also abundant toilet rolls (never seen so many in any hotel that I have stayed in} you usually have to ask for extra, plenty of clean towels.I was really impressed.I had a lovely room near the corner of building first floor so entertainment never kept me awake.Wonderful views of the sea and river .I found all the staff exceptional, especially Christian who helped me so much and being an animal lover we had so much to talk about. The bus stop is only minutes from Hotel and goes everywhere the bus that travels to the next resort is called the public bus and is open top and takes you to all the resorts next Sillot,Cala Millor Cala Bona etc.nice to jump on and off and visit each one when weather not too good or to maybe browse for your next holiday. There is also the wooden train , you go over the River bridge to the left of the Hotel and its Picks up in the square beside Bike rental shop, also the free bus for the Safari Park, stops there .Its a lovely resort very compact to walk about ,conenient to visit the next resort by road or beach. If you go out of the Hotel and turn right and cross over the first roundabout , keep walking on the left hand side of the road and the first corner, there is a lovely indoor fresh vegetable/fruit Market, also sell sardines freshly caught, they make home made vegetable/meat pies. Excellent for self catering as there is not much choice for fresh goods in shop, short of Frozen options for self catering, I suppose if you have a car you would be able to go to one of the outlets and stock up for week I struggled as I dont drive.I enjoyed all the food that I ate at different restaurants, food good value for money ,all made you feel welcome .I will review them seperately.I would definately recommend Play Moreia very comfortable homely friendly and relaxing and lovely pool.either walk in or down steps , so excellent if you have a disability.

Room Tip: I would not like a room above the outdoor entertaintment at night.

I honestly don't know what people have to moan about. I am currently staying here with my husband & daughter & we love it. We were greeted by the jolly happy gentleman on reception late Thursday evening, who couldn't have been more helpful. We love our room which had a fantastic welcome pack of bread, water, cheese, beers, milk, washing up liquid etc for just €21 for when we arrived, what you didn't want you took back and didn't pay for this was such a lovely surprise especially as we didn't arrive till very late, why would people moan about such a lovely service. the rooms is great, plenty of space, and even a table to sit & dine at. its clean & has everything we need from microwave, toaster, kettle etc the bathroom is big clean & everything works, the beds are comfy & pillows fluffy we've slept like babies since we've arrived. We have a fantastic view of the sea too. The pool is clean and beds are plentiful. We came in August & stayed in another hotel (not so nice) we spotted this one & said next time we came we try it as it looked lovely & is situated in a fantastic location. It hasn't let us down. We have already recommended this hotel to friends back home. For the money we've paid, we're in heaven. S'illot is a quite family friendly location, it's very chilled & laid back. We love it. If you want late bars & clubs don't come here, if you want chilled, relaxing, calm times this is the place for you & this hotel I would definitely say try especially as its right by the lovely beach & staff are lovely. Love it and we will be back. The Ryan's x

Room Tip: Sea view is amazing

We booked to go to Moreia Apartahotel for a 3 night half board stay, with quite a few negative reviews we always travel with an open mind! On arrival at the hotel after an early flight from Manchester we were told our room was not quite ready and that there would be about an hour wait, that to me was no problem, we popped open the case and got changed and off we went to explore....The Hotel is situated in a quiet area but just as it says 'Right on The Beach'... a short walk away over the bridge there are plenty of shops bars and restaurants. On arrival back to the hotel about 2hrs later we were attended to very quickly and given our room number this was situated at the rear of the hotel on the 3rd floor ( I had asked on booking if it was possible we would of liked a 'Sea View) but didn't worry me that much as we don't go on holiday to spend our time in the room!!! The view we had was what I call 'Typical Spain' Mountains in the distance and barren land. The room was adequately furnished and clean and had ever thing there that you would require if you were staying self catering (Fridge, Kettle, Hob, Toaster, Microwave, Crockery and Cutlery). As we were staying half board we found the restaurant on the ground floor which was bright clean and airy....the food was excellent with plenty of choice (Both Breakfast and Evening Meal), varied and HOT and always plenty of it!.
There are plenty of places to stroll during the day and evening with 'Sa Coma' only a 15mins walk away where you will find shops, bars, restaurants and supermarkets and little more lively than S'illot itself. If I was to be negative at all about our stay here it would be that due to a late evening flight back on the Sunday night and not being picked up by coach until 7pm and having to be out of our room at 12 midday there was no lock up for the cases these had be left in the hotel reception all day and there was no where to shower and change!!!! I did ask at reception but was told to use the toilets!!!! Shame really because i'm sure that time of year when the hotel is not so busy that they could of let us have a room.
But all in all a very pleasant stay.
