“Say it as it is”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

A long way from the airport but caught 2 buses, one into Palma and another out to Sa Coma - about 11 Euro altogether so pretty good! Buses don't run from the hotel on Sunday (Domingos) so be careful - cheaper to book a transfer than taxi.

Room seemed OK until sheet was pulled back - one dirty pillowcase, an unrecognisable insect and an earwig in the bed PLUS huge, bloody stain on one mattress, yuk.... they moved us to the room next door which was fine, thank you. The room was cleaned every day.

All Inclusive so dreaded band was worn at all times. Drinks fine, even though served in plastic cups. Food was... awful. Not much choice, dried out food and burnt bacon in the mornings - I would think that you would need no culinary skills whatsoever to work in the kitchen. Stick to the crusty bread and eat fried eggs on toast, fruit and ice cream pots, that's what I would recommend.

This was a little jaunt between Xmas and New Year with us chasing some light and warmth. a lot of the other hotels and shops were closed, that's fine, it's not what we went for. It was cheap, clean and basic but if you have a sense of humour, and for the money, very good value, I would say.

Even though all your reviews are bad, I found this hotel enjoyable! The pools are abit mucky so is the room, but to be honest you don't spend a lot of time in the room anyway apart from to sleep. And if you really don't want to go in the pool it is a nice walk down to the beach and there is a banana boat to keep the kids happy. The foods nice and satisfying and there is plenty to eat. The staff are nice and always try to make you laugh. There's ping pong table, snooker tables and mini golf around the hotel. Especially on a night sitting round the pool playing card games is nice and very relaxing. So anything I found this hotel excellent even if its not very clean, I would go again.

We stayed here for 11 nights half-board over the xmas period. Hotel is in need of a refurbishment but rooms are cleaned daily and towels changed as often as desired. Family-run and staff friendly and willing. Food quite basic but adequate - help yourself buffet. Relaxed atmosphere extends to guests clearing their own plates to a central trolley which most people seem to accept without a grumble. Large bar/sitting area, table tennis, small gym and a masseur who can be booked. Large clean pool. In lobby there are 2 computers and a printer.
Coins go into a slot for usage. 1 euro for 15 mins. Television in rooms sporadic, supposed to be satelite but bad reception. Would recommend asking for a higher floor as on evenings when they have music this can go on until quite late. There is limited parking outside hotel but a car is a must if you want to see all the sights. There is a bus stop near to hotel but fares quite high.
Centauro is a good local car rental company which is also available from airport. The downside is that fuel is expensive and you will be charged for a full tank, though expected to return car on
empty. Work that one out!!

Room Tip: Higher floor should be quieter. All rooms have large balconies.

People on here need to have a reality check. Me and my friend visited this hotel in mid December 2012 and to be perfectly honest I was dreading my stay here after scouring most of the negative reviews on this site and I must say I was pleasantly surprised with the hotel and the staff working their. The one thing which put a major downer on the holiday was of course the travel costs of getting in a taxi to Sa Coma (80 EURO) as it couldn't be geographically further away from La Palma, but that was our own fault completely. I'm not sure if it was just because we came off-season but the vicinity surrounding the hotel was very much derelict with nothing bar a small cafe open down the street. We didn't let this ruin our holiday, so instead opted to explore the island a bit subsequently observing some beautiful scenery and wildlife which made it worthwhile.

I'm personally not one for the 'All-inclusive' lark and this hotel didn't really sway me much into thinking otherwise. The food was average with much of the same type of bland food on offer each day and thank God I am not a vegetarian as I would've surely starved the options for them were that limited! The entertainment was virtually non-existent and wasn't helped by some grumpy old stick in the mud who had complete control over the sound system and played some woefully curated cover songs mainly from the 60's era. Make no mistake about it this hotel is catered for older people who by dawn want to sunbath and by night want to participate in ballroom dancing with their childhood sweethearts. A large majority of the residents were German so it was tricky conversing with others which put a major downer on things.

Among the negatives however there were many positives. The staff in the hotel couldn't of been friendlier especially the manager who offered me and my friend a lift to the airport for 50 EURO as we couldn't afford a taxi back and the buses weren't running at this time of air. The rooms in the hotel itself were spotless as far as I'm concerned and I'm especially picking about those sorts of things so that's good. Overall if you're looking for a hotel with no frill's this is for you I'm 100% positive this place would be a much more enjoyable place to stay in the peak summer and certainly wouldn't hesitate to stay then. However take my advice and steer clear as others have said between Winter/Spring months.

Sold to us as a 3* but it is in fact only 2*, having read other reviews we were not expecting the Ritz but come on! The hotel does have an excellent central location, but central to what was difficult to judge as EVERYTHING at the time of our visit was closed, and as we were only B&B finding somwhere to eat was a nightmare until we found the Cheers bar in Cala Millor, Kevin you were a life saver. The description states that the hotel has been extensively renovated, I would hate to have seen it before, it is extremely dated and scruffy, the bath in our room had lime scale streaks all around it, the shower didn’t work and we didn’t have hot water for a week! The same person covers reception, the bar and general maintenance but when approached to get the shower fixed I was told in no uncertain terms that he was a bar man not a mechanic, try showering for a week in a trickle of barely lukewarm water.
There was a buffet breakfast compromising of the same food every morning, the hot food was cold but there was a microwave to warm it up! The drinks machines frequently broke down, when I reported this, the lady looked at it, said ‘kaput’ and threw a towel over it, no alternative was offered. When we stayed (early November) there was no snack bar available and the television was never on, (to watch the one in your room you had to rent the aerial cable from reception for €15 per week plus a €5 deposit) the gardens were unkempt, the mini golf, table tennis tables and tennis court were all out of use, the only entertainment on offer was the pool table.
The worst, most unfriendly hotel we have ever stayed in.

Room Tip: Walls are very thin, you can hear EVERYTHING happening in the next room

Some people will complain about anything. There is no need to go to an outside restaurant when there is a good choice of food in the hotel some people are so fussy. Stay home if you are going to complain and not upset other guests What do you expect for a two star hotel? We enjoyed our stay and would go again, our room was clean and the beds and towels changed everyday. The staff were very helpful and friendly.

Room Tip: Do your research before you go anywhere
