as SunburntBrighouse said - 'wow'!
Holidays in Greece are always wonderful but this topped the lot. Chris(tos) and Angela and staff doing a fantastic job at this gorgeous spot on the edge of Skala's main beach, but it's still (realistically in the heat) only a 20 minute stroll to the centre of Skala past a dozen or so tavernas along a beautiful beach road.
BBQ on Saturday night was excellent with Chris and Angela doing some traditional Greek dancing which had us mere mortals exhausted after only a couple of minutes trying to join in!

Something for everyone here and I'd certainly not hesitate to go back.

Room Tip: Don't think there could be a bad room :-)

I think everything has already been said about this place. It really is wonderfully. The staff could not be more helpful even restoching the bar to suit my taste. It is with a heavy heart i leave. You can't go wrong with this place.

We arrived at this hotel and found it was much better than we expected. The owner's and staff are wonderful, looking after everyone. Top cleanliness, lovely food, reasonable prices, beautiful views and a lovely atmosphere. 5 minutes walk into Skala main street but we found this no problem as the area was quiet and a supermarket is close to the hotel. We will return.

We stayed at the hotel in early May. The hotel is well maintained by the owners and the staff. Chis and Angela work hard to provide clean, peaceful hotel. The room service was excellent the staff working well to maintain the standard. We are in the catering trade ourselves and know how difficult it is to always maintain a smile when you are busy.

The pool was delightful and again well maintained. Well done to all involved.

Room Tip: Try self catering the room we were allocated was big with a view from the balcony to die for.

If think everything about Aeolos has been said before and all the good is true and accurate. We found he perfect hotel for us , Fantastic professional hosts, spotlessly clean , small which made it very friendly amoungs all the like minded guests and staff.

The small team of staff are committed to their jobs doing an excellent job and remain friendly and personel. The facilities are all you would need , great small bar, good food nice layout around the pool with supurb sea views with a mountain backdrop. The hotel is a nice stroll along to town and set back by about 100 yards from the beach making it a seculed quiet location.

Our stay here provided us with everything we wanted to relax, a perfect hotel, great location, good food , on a beautifull relaxed island.

The only bad thing was on the last day a coach turned up to take us away from our little piece of quiet paradise . We will return as so many do.

Thank you to everyone at Aeolos

Chris , Sadie

We have just returned from a one week stay at Aeolos Beach Hotel, and we had read other reviews prior to booking and thought it sounded perfect for us and we were not disappointed! I will try and not repeat all the obvious positives that other reviewers mentioned but it is hard because Chris and Angela have fine tuned the service to such a high standard you can't help but be impressed! They make the effort to learn everyones name which is a lovely touch, and are more than happy to chat with you (even when they appear to never stop working!) nothing is too much trouble for them.
Our room was very clean (306) with lots of storage space, hangers and drawer space. We had a hairdryer and kettle, cups etc and a fridge. (Maybe take your own teabags/coffee just saves buying it when your there!) We had a lovely balcony with a view of the sea in the distance. The hotel its self is set back up in the hills so unlike a lot of the other hotels that are actually on the main road, Aeolos is very quiet and peaceful. The slope up to the hotel is pretty steep and there's another slope as you come up to the hotel but this is necessary to have the peace and tranquillity that they offer but I imagine if you do go in high season when its very hot the slopes could be tough!
There is also a book case full of books to borrow, and you can leave any that you have read which is great when you are lazing by the pool and want a good book to read! Angela is always on hand at reception and can give lots of help and advice on the local area, you really feel like you get to know Chris and Angela which also adds to the service and quality of your holiday.
The breakfast offering was great, all very fresh and constantly being topped up, lots of choice and you can sit inside or out on the veranda by the pool. Chris is attentive but not intrusive and his attention to detail is second to none.
The hotel has a happy hour between 6pm and 8pm with good reductions on drinks, as others have mentioned Michael behind the bar does a great job of making everyone feel welcome and is chatty with everyone which creates such a good environment in the bar area- again a relaxed and friendly place to be.
We ate at the hotel a few times and the quality is fantastic, fresh ingredients and very generous portions we often shared wraps and toasted sandwiches etc. The hotel also held a barbecue night which was really well organised and relaxed, all the seating put together to encourage guests to sit with each other and chat, this is what makes Aeolos stand out, they have so many repeat guests but they were all lovely and keen to pass on info etc to newcomers like us, this just enhanced our holiday so much!
There is a well stocked supermarket under 5 mins away from the hotel, and a selection of restaurants approx. 10 min stroll away, the main square of Skala is approx. 15-20 mins walk but its a lovely stroll along the seafront so very pleasant to do in the evenings. We must mention a great restaurant in Skala itself "The Old Village" we went twice such good quality and so friendly!
Overall Aeolos is by far the nicest place we have ever stayed in in Greece and they thoroughly deserve the 5 star rating, I am sure we will return.

We spent a week here with our daughter, son in law and two young grandsons. The hotel is incredibly clean and tidy and the owners spare no effort to make your holiday an enjoyable one. The continental breakfast is outstanding and I would not hesitate to stay here again.
