“Disappointing meal”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2014

Grape Tree Cafe has a great location and is only open on weekends. Using a credit card to pay means you go into the gas station to process the charge. The fried sides were interesting and tasty but the fish was just not good. Limited menu is fine if you make sure each dish is excellent. The grilled snapper with the head on looked promising but was impossible to enjoy with all the bones. The Mahi Mahi was just ok. Our favorite choices on this end were Chester's and Southside Bar and Grill.

“Interesting”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 31, 2013

Not bad, not great. Quick and close to us. Sit at beachside tables. Quick preparation. Different menu on different days.

“Best fish shack on the island!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2013

We have been to the Caymans three times and always eat multiple times at this restaurant. The food is out of this world. I owner remembers us every time we go.

“Not really a restaurant, but amazing food!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2013

This is a tiny little hut on a beautiful beach in a fairly remote area of Grand Cayman. We ate at tables on the beach with locals, and the food was to die for (especially the conch fritters!) Reasonable price, beautiful location. We ate there three times since it was just down the beach from our cabin, and the food was perfect every time. If you don't want fish with bones, they usually have 3 or more choices. They ran out of jerk chicken each time it was offered, but the fish was more than enough. YUM!

“Excellent Fresh Seafood”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 13, 2013

No-Frills, fresh fried fish with a sampling of plantains, breadfruit, and cassava. The owner is hospitable, friendly, and extremely eager to ensure that your experience is the best possible. DEFINITELY WORTH THE STOP!
