“Grand old stucture!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 6, 2012

I didnt go inside this building but it was part of our island tour. We just took some photos from the outside.

The construction of this building was completed in 1891.This place is said to be the largest convent in the Asian Region.

Definitely worth visiting and taking some snapshots.

“a worthwhile stop”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2012

Much of the convent is in disrepair so appreciation is strictly subjective. If you like architecture, history and perhaps a peek at some of the artifacts on display at the small museum, by all means Lazi Convent would be a nice place to visit. If that's not really your thing, you might not enjoy it. Lazi Convent is right across another old church, the Lazi Church and that is also worth a visit.

“nice and big convent”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2012

It's really nice to see old structures because it's history. And it's nice to witness structures that are preserved over the years. This convent is one of them. This may not be so very outstanding and needs a little maintenance, but it's good as it is.I just hope that in the next years they will still be able to preserve this. It's a piece of history for the next generation..

“old but still serviceable”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2011

It's said to be the biggest convent in the phils.from the outside it looks beautiful altho it's already 100 years old. It's where the parish priest stay and used as schools for elementary students.where the priest is the principal.there's little renovation done inside the building so it looksdilapidated but because of the hardwood used in construction , it still remains durable and sturdy despite the passing of time.there's also a little museum inside where old/antique statues of santos are displayed.
