“Beautiful cabaña.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 2, 2013

This really is a wonderful place to holiday. We stayed in the larger Afrodita cabin as we were three adults travelling with two small children. The accommodation of three bedrooms, two bathrooms and large living room kitchen is both tastefully appointed and extremely comfortable. There are two generous terraces, one with comfortable loungers and the other with a BBQ. We stayed for four nights and had a brilliant holiday. Elquimista is pleasant ten minute stroll up the valley from Pisco Elqui in the direction of the Los Nichos Pisco distillery. Supposedly the original and best of the Chilean Piscos. This is definitely a place to which I would love to return.

My wife and I stayed 3 nights at the Dakini cabin for the past holidays. Upon arriving, we were greeted by Constanza (one of the owners), who was very friendly and kind. She showed us around and gave us all the tips and recommendations on what to do during our stay.
The cabin had a small sitting room in front of the kitchen space, a bedroom and a private bathroom. The kitchen is well equipped (pots, pans, plates, glasses, mugs and so on). The cabin also has two patios, one outside the sitting room (with a grill that can be used for barbecues), and the other in front of the bedroom (with a great view of the valley). There's a nice pool with Bali beds overlooking the valley. If you are planning on going with friends or kids, there are other cabins that are larger and more spatious. Highly recommended!!!

We stayed for three days at the Elquimista and we couldn't be happier! The hosts were incredible people, always concerned about our needs or if we needed something it would be done right away. Justin, the host, even helped us make a fire in the barbeque which turned out to be one of the best barbeques I have had. If we needed advice to go places they helped out right away and the places they recommended were exactly what we wanted. The houses are extremely clean, the surroundings are so peaceful and quiet, and the beds are SUPER comfortable! We stayed in the Afrodita house. The houses have incredible views of the Andes and the stars! We really did a lot of research on trying to find the right place, and we were extremely satisfied with our choice. We drove next to some of the other hostels, and they were dumps, so watch out! The hosts also speak perfect English and Spanish so this helped a lot. I can't wait to go back one day!

My boyfriend and I rented a small 2 person cabin for a week and it was truly a great experience! The cabin had a sitting room and bedroom (not technically separate spaces, but was semi-divided by a bay), a kitchen space and private bathroom and patio that overlooked the valley. The bathroom was great with a fabulous shower! We also had a grill that can be used for BBQs which complimented the outdoor patio. Constanza and Justin, the owners, were very accommodating and friendly. The cabins are located just outside of town, but within walking distance, which is actually quite nice. There is a lovely pool (not very large at all so not the best for actual swimming but nice to sit by and tan and great for kids) that overlooks a fantastic view! I would definitely recommend looking into these cabins if staying in pisco elqui! If you rent a car, there is also room for parking.

This is exactly the place to be if you want to have some quiet days, with nice weather and a beautiful home.
The rooms are amazing and every detail is taking into consideration. You won't find anything missing! We stayed in Afrodita, a huge cabin for 7 people. Since we were only 5 passenger we didn't need to use the extra bed in the living room. The kitchen and bathrooms were fully equipped, it has cable tv and wifi (that seams to work alot better right next to the pool!)
The owners were also a plus to this beautiful place. They went to extremes to make you feel comfortable and help you in anything you need. They even helped us with our car up the impossible road that is "Aurora de Chile".

An amazing location, good prices and a hard place to leave! We will definitely be going back to Elquimista!

My only question is... are pets allowed?

Very pleasant stay. Comfortable living accommodation; very well-appointed kitchen; good bathroom; excellent views, and a friendly cat. Whoever designed this clearly gave it a lot of thought, and got it just right.

The best in this very sacred, special mountain retreat in northern Chile, refined, gorgeous views, silence and warm family welcome by owners.
