Owner description: Here at Masters Brewery we pride ourselves on quality. So come and visit our custom built micro-brewery. Try a tour or book one of our hands-on 'Brewing Experience Days' (advance booking & payment required). Afterwards relax in our authentic Victorian brewery tap for tasting sessions of any of the 7-10 real ales we have on or one of our many fine Whiskies.

“Outside it's a shed, inside it's a beer drinker's heaven”

Don't be put off by the industrial unit exterior. Inside you step back in time to when pubs were all dark mahogany with leather sofas, pull pumps and dim lighting. I could have sat there comfortably supping the wealth of draught ales all evening.
We booked the brewery tour because my wife has just taken up home brewing and we wanted to see how the real thing was made. It was entertaining and informative. We learnt a lot about proper brewing and Richard was very understanding, answering all our naive questions with patience and good humour.
This is a real micro-brewery in what amounts to a large garage. But the principles are the same as the big brewers. Here you'll hear about (and taste) boutique beers made in small quantities for discerning palates.
After Richards introduction to the magic of brewing we settled into the snug bar and enjoyed tasters from the huge selection of draught ales produced by Masters. As my wife was driving she settled for a delightful bottled Ginger Beer.
I would equate this to visiting one of our local cider farms - intimate, friendly and eye-opening.
You can visit the pub part of the brewery without taking in the educational tour. Best look at the website for opening times.

Lovely little pub and brewery. Great range of affordable locally brewed ales. Will be back many times.
