When we booked our stay at Hotel Ristorante Cervo, we didn't even know it had a restaurant, but since it was conveniently in the hotel we decided to eat there, not expecting much because the hotel itself is adequate and comfortable, but not special. The menu is typically Italian...a variety of antipastos, mostly pasta first courses, some nice meat and seafood seconds and a variety of desserts. What was surprising though was the quality of the food and the beauty of the presentation. It was the match of anything we ate in two weeks in Italy. My favorite was the eggplant parmigiana, which was molded in an upside down cup shape, topped with a large spring of fresh basil and had slices of grilled eggplant on the side. Beautiful and delicious.
